No words. Just chew and enjoy. Sit at the bar and watch a well run kitchen. The chicken was flavorful to the bone! The only pause was realizing that we had to pay extra for maple syrup.

Good food, decent value. Deafeningly noisy, impossible to converse. The wait is very, very long. The vibe is hipsterish and casual.

Chicken and waffles were just ok,, not maple tasting but too heavy on the brown sugar. My date had the special of pork hash and it was really good. Bit pricey and not sure i need to hurry back.

My family of six paid this place a visit on a Wednesday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes. We ordered: - Chicken and Waffles: Delicious. Belgian Waffle was crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. Chicken was good too but the waffle was definitely the star. I had to order an extra one. - Smoked Chicken... More

This is a great stop for breakfast and/or brunch. But it fills up quickly so make sure you have enough time to wait if necessary.

This is a small, bustling, always busy restaurant with a terrific staff and great food. But there is always a wait. The food is Cajun and down home southern: Jambalaya, blackened fish, Mac and cheese, chicken and waffles. All good, served quickly (with the exce[ton if waffles when they are busy -- but there is a "warning" on the menu... More

Oyster po-boy is superb, as are the smokey yams, cornbread, desserts, etc. The service is excellent. Wait can be a bit long at certain times, but definitely worth it!

We loved the fried chicken and the biscuits with homemade preserves. The place was located in an industrial part of East Oakland, yet very comfortable. This was the perfect place to get breakfast after a long flight, It was easy to find from the Oakland airport if you rent a car. Lots of locals were there and it was packed... More

We had breakfast here on our last day in the bay. We had the chicken & waffles and a side of grits. The waffles were light & delicious, the chicken seasoned superbly and the grits nice & creamy. We left full & happy.

This is a great place to have breakfast during the week. Of course you have to try the chicken and waffles. It's a little out of the way but well worth finding. Waffles are very light and the cider syrup is very savory. The chicken is amazing.
