Came here with a friend and we had to wait 30 minutes for seats at the bar, but we did something else and they called when ready. In fact, they told us 40 minutes. We were hungry but not super hungry. We had the pate and the duck rillettes. I had the shrimp cocktail, which was more like a salad.... More

Favorite restaurant in the East Bay - book weeks in advance because it is always packed. If you can wait then a seat at the Bar is also fab.

I LOVE Wood Tavern. Every dish I've ever had here... Awesome! It's small not many tables so make reservations... Or you can eat at the bar. Great wines too!

As soon as you walk into Wood Tavern you quickly realize it is a restaurant for all occasions. It's fancy enough for a birthday or anniversary dinner, but casual enough for a weekday meal. The mood is lively but not noisy. Service is consistent, unobtrusive and professional. The food is across the board delicious and the double cut pork chop... More

Had lunch with three others. I thought a corner table near the front might be quieter, and the restaurant kindly accommodated the request. However, as the restaurant filled it became increasingly difficult to carry on a conversation. I wish restaurants paid more attention to adding soft surfaces to reduce the din. We had sandwiches (lamb belly, portobello), the duck confit... More

A busy place - seemed like mostly tourists at lunch. Best with a reservation. Don't plan on having much of a conversation with your table mates - one of the noisiest restaurants in teh Bay Area. Had a BLT, but made with what appeared to be Canadian bacon, on a very excellent, very thick bread - they offered a sharp... More

I went for lunch and the place was almost full. Walk in you may sit at the bar. Suggest reservation. The staff was attentive. The food was made with care and taste surprising. You will not be disappointed.

Thank Rosa B
