Fabulous place for breakfast if you are in town at the convention center. It's walking distance and really, really yummy! Loved the croque madame! My go-to place over the years!

Just had breakfast. And I am the ultimate eggs benedict lady. They are good and the hollandaise was perfect. The jam is homemade and the service very friendly. They have soy milk so was able to enjoy a big bowl of coffee. All in all so worth the stop.

We stopped there for bteakfast and were glad we did. There's just something cheerful about the atmosphere and the people there. I'm adding some photos of our orders :-)

Had a lovely meal here May 1 -- the food was excellent and well prepared. The service was friendly. Next time I am in Oakland I will return!

The savory polenta with the poached egg and blue cheese is amazing. I wish I could find this in SoCal. I also had the Italian toast. The ham was great and the preserves were delicious. I'm sensitive about the food quality and they were great. Coffee and latte were wonderful as well as the fresh OJ. Only good thing about... More

I cannot say enough about this place. Wonderful looking breakfast menu surpassed only by the wonderful food itself. Wish there were a pave like this near where I live.

I thought this little cafe was pricier than it needed to be, especially for the soup we bought. Being kitchen-capable ourselves, my wife and I figured the bowl of curried carrot soup we ordered cost about a dollar to make. We were charged $8. My hard cooked egg and tuna salad was fresh, sizable and tasty. Indoors it feels like... More

Seems like the locals like it but i dont. Got the oats which were mediocre. My partner opted for corned beef hash which looked good, tasted okay was very expensive and needed three requests till it turned up. The coffee might be what Americans like but is nothing like Italy. Better and cheaper to be had elsewhere...

This was the greatest poached egg and Croque Madame that I have ever had! This looks like a coffee shop from the outside, but they're serving amazing food and are quite friendly. The only thing I'd change is that I found it on my last day in Oakland and won't get to experience it again on this trip!

We ate breakfast here on two consecutive days. Not least because they were one of the few places open on a Sunday morning, which was rather surprising. The food and drinks were truly excellent. The staff were efficient, although a little too serious.
