This place has such a beautiful location. Before the shutdown, they had a wonderful seafood buffet. They have recently reopened and for 30 days offered 50% off of all food ordered. What a generous deal as they lost all of their business (both banquet and restaurant) and shut Walnut Creek location. We visited twice during this time and both times had a great experience adoring the beautiful view and had great service. The first time we visited, there was this overwhelmingly loud and boisterous party in the back of the restaurant which made for a less than pleasant experience until they finally left. Since the banquet rooms were empty, they probably should have seated them in one of the rooms. They were great with COVID restrictions and seating was nicely spaced. They give you this wonderful bread to start with so we ordered a bottle of wine and enjoyed while choosing our meals. We had the bowl of chowder ($16) and heart of romaine salad ($17) to start with. Chowder was excellent and the salad although fresh and nicely presented was pricey for what you were served. We had the Halibut Cheeks ($37) which were surprisingly tough but the flavor was still very good. Also had the Sole Dore with mashed potatoes and spinach ($36) - portion was huge and took a lot of it home - delicious dish. In addition we had the Steak and Lobster with mashed potatoes and vegetables ($68). The steak had this tasty sauce and the lobster was cooked perfectly. At 50% off of all food items, this was a deal. We have always enjoyed this location of Scotts and especially during the holidays it is decorated so festive and beautiful. The servers are friendly and very attentive and the piano music in the bar is always a treat.

Took family and friends here on our last night in Oakland. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a spicy shrimp appetizer, clam chowder, a Caesar salad, king crab legs, tuna, and Dungeness crab. All were well prepared, plentiful, and delicious! Service was attentive and we were seated promptly (on a busy Saturday night). Highly recommended - but be prepared for the bill. It wasn’t cheap!

Seafood cioppino was excellent. you definitely want to order it with the crab already removed from the crab shells. This made it much easier to eat, and it allowed to crab meat to offer a little bit of flavor to the broth. House salad was ridiculous. It should have been complimentary. It is essentially a garnish. a few little pieces of lettuce, two slices of cucumber, and a few slices of tomato. It looked like something you'd see on the side with a hamburger order. Service met expectations, but the staff seemed a bit frantic and disorganized. I like to see and enthused, fast paced operation. But it looked as though everyone was nervously rushing between crises. This would have been a solid four star review if the $17 garnish they called a house salad was "Scott" free.

First of all corkage is $40 for a bottle of wine!! We didn't ask. I thought it was a mistake on the bill. Secondly we ordered salads (there were 5 of us) and they charged $8 to spit two salads. Had we known we could have/would have shared the salads without them plating it without telling us there would be an extra charge. That said the fish was good as were the sides. One of us ordered a burger that was very dry and over cooked. $460 before tip for 5 people. I don't think I would go back again. Our waiter disappeared and the service was lacking after that.

My husband ordered blackened catfish, and it was fine. I ordered pecan or cashew shrimp - not sure which nut was supposed to come with the shrimp, but the dish did not include any nuts. At first, I thought the nuts were crushed and mixed into the sauce, but the server said that the nuts were supposed to be whole. She also did not see any nuts on my plate. The server took away that untouched dish, and I then requested the macadamia crusted halibut - again no sign or taste of any macadamia nuts. I kept my mouth shut this time and took a few bites before giving up. You may say that this has nothing to do with the server, but we also ordered a salad. I mentioned to the server that I would share the salad with my husband. Upon bringing the salad, the server proudly announced that she had put it on two plates for us. Well, instead of $20, the salad became $24 due to the extra plate. Nowhere on the menu was there a mention of an extra charge for the extra plate. If it had been mentioned, I would have asked for the salad to remain on one single plate. Upon presenting us with the bill, the server also "generously" mentioned that she did not charge me for the shrimp dish that I did not touch because it had no nuts. Overpriced. Poor service. Waste of time.

Restaurant has a great view of marina Oakland waterfront. The oysters were very good and the cocktails were amazing. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Chinese chicken salad was delicious with tomato’s rather than mandarin orange.

Lovely atmosphere, idyllic setting, excellent service....but mediocre food! Noting the upscale prices, we were expecting stellar-tasting food. I like the way I prepare fish at home more than what we experienced at Scott's. The plating was beautiful but two of the entrees ordered were not completely eaten. Having dined all over the world, we realized that the fish and chips were the worst we have ever been served. We wanted to like this place but were saddened to experience an expensive but non-memorable meal. We will not return and recommend that you find another location to savor at Jack London Square.

Was here for Sunday Brunch. The service and live music was great, but the food was just mediocre. The 1/4 inch crab cake Benedict left me unsatisfied—not enough crab for the price. Potato fingerlings were cold, soggy and not well seasoned. You can get more bang for your buck somewhere else.

I stopped by Jack London Square for lunch. I was shocked that most restaurants were closed permanently or for that day. A sad place, but I went into Scott's for the first time. Decorated for the holidays and many couples or groups were enjoying the view of the marina. I was immediately seated at a window table and served by efficient and friendly waitstaff. I had never been to a Scott's before: the menu had so many seafood dishes I found it hard to choose. I had an excellent saute and a cup of Boston-style clam chowder: an excellent lunch!

I had not been to Scotts in over six yrs,. a friend suggested Scotts. Our knowledgeable waitress Sheryl was so gracious and friendly that I felt renewed. When my seafood salad came, it was a work of art. My friends chicken plate was prepared beautifully. I told the manager Ramiro Carbez the meal and service was excellent.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a table by a window. At the end of the meal we mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. We were then surprised with a special lighted dessert and a long-stemmed red rose in a box tied with a red ribbon. The staff took our photo and presented it to us in a cardboard frame. We really appreciated what they did to make the day feel special for us. the whole experience of dining at Scott's Seafood was very pleasant.

We were celebrating out anniversary so I made reservations aty Scott's. A day before the reservation they texted us to confirm and I responded with a YES. When we arrived, the host immediately showed is to a window table with a view of the channel and boats passing by. Our waitress, Angela, was super nice and very attentive, but not overbearingly so. I had surf & turf and my sweetie had a crab salad followed by fresh lobster. The food was amazing and they surprised us with a nice dessert and a red rose to celebrate our anniversary. We will be back.

Pleasantly surprised by this lovely waterfront dining experience which I enjoyed solo secondary to travel irregularities. I enjoyed the New England or Boston clam chowder as an appetizer and would highly recommend the swordfish with dungess crab. Presentation was beautiful, vegetables perfect. Wait staff very attentive and view enjoyable. Would revisit. Plan to spend a little money for your meal

What a treat! In every way excellent. Seated in a nice waterview booth. Watched a sailboat regatta; fun! Started out with an excellent espresso martini, followed by perfectly prepared oysters rock! Seared scallops were perfectly cooked and very tasty. It was our anniversary so the waitress brought me a single red rose, and took our picture and gave us a very nice instant framed little photo for a memory! A wonderful experience in every way. Highly recommend.

Sunday evening dinner got off to to a great start. Wait staff was very attentive. Pleasant atmosphere and cuisine that was satisfactory if not exciting. The reason for the two stars is that our waitperson disappeared for 30 minutes at the end of the meal. Dropped off dessert menus and then literally dropped out of sight. We finally gave up and someone from our party hunted her down and paid the bill. Very disappointed to be treated so shabbily by such a pricey establishment.
