I was hoping for something that was a cut above the usual in downtown Oakland. My breakfast items and then lunch were convenient to where I was working for the day, but not memorable. How I wish there was a great deli like Langers on 7th and Alvarado in LA, but Oakland seems a food wastelland in downtown.

Located at 1924 Franklin, this quaint cafe serves excellent food. My mom tried a tuna sandwich on wheat and had it prepared exactly as requested.
The broccoli and cheese soup was delicious.
I tried the club panini sandwich. It was very delicious with a generous portion of the meats.
