My daughter went on Yelp for restaurant reviews and we picked Lo Coco since we all wanted Italian. We were served bread and butter while waiting for the food. I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I was told they didnt have balsamic vinegar. We all were shocked. An Italian restaurant without balsamic vinegar?? We began to doubt if... More

Visiting family in San Fran and Oakland and arrived via recommendation. We're forever grateful! A small, delightful dining room that welcomes you, provides attentive service, and serves the most delightful Italian food. The four of us tried a margarita pizza as an appetizer...simple but delicious! Now, the house red sauce is luscious!. My son and I had the eggplant parmigiana...SPECTACULAR... More

Terrific pizzas, and take out that comes with their wonderful bread. Try the eggplant pasta, a real winner. Not your Bay Area snooty food place, been unchanged for the good for years. All my kids thrived on their meals.

We were introduced to Lo Coco's over 30 years ago and it's our hands down favorite still. The menu is extensive with pasta and salad selections, but we always get pizza. The crust is perfect, crispy but not burnt, thin but not too thin. Our default is the Combination, although I frequently enjoy the Vesuvio-green onions, excellent sauce, cheese and... More

Yes, the meatballs are like mom's. The sauce is pretty much perfectly done. The calamari in wine reduction sauce was an unusual but outstanding dish. Our server Joe was very gracious.

Lo Coco's has been my go to choice for Italian food for years. Authentic Sicilian dishes, fresh ingredients and consistent quality. The linguine with clams and the spaghetti with meatballs are favorites, don't miss the mushrooms caruso appetizer. Cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices and friendly staff.

We randomly picked this restaurant because our kids were on a spaghetti kick and it had good reviews. The restaurant is small so we called ahead for a table and were greeted by friendly staff (small places sometimes cringe a little when you come in with a 3 and 4 year old). The food was really good. So good in... More

Went here yesterday based on reviews. Yes, the meatballs really ARE that good!! ( place to eat before you die!) Fairly inexpensive, warm staff, great food. What's not to like.

Wonderful food and very friendly service. It's our go-to comfort food restaurant. The pizza has an excellent crust and a large quantity of toppings. We love the family who runs the place.

I have a friend who works in an Italian restaurant in Berkeley. She said the food at Lo Coco's was good. I had been to Rome earlier in the year and I was craving some authentic Tuscan fare. I had the spaghetti and meat balls. It was okay, not great, a 'C'. My friend had the pizza with eggplant. She... More
