The bone marrow dish was new and exciting to me. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks well made. I will return.

The place is really big and dark inside. I met friends here for a drink before Oakland's first Fri Art Murmur. The food and appetizers are reasonably priced and are tasty. Variety of drinks choices. Only issue is no off street parking and they are...More

It's very edgy, cool, and trendy BUT it is also very loud! It's got a nice, versatile menu which has something for everyone which is really great! It's a great place for groups or trying to impress a date but it's not very romantic.

Not for a quiet night out or a romantic dinner. But if you want to eat and drink in an energized venue this is a good choice

First after work visit to Mua was a surprise. It looks very small and unobtrusive from the outside, but once we entered it was an amazing space filled with art and objects. We ate in the open loft for an overview of the main dining...More

Mua is fun and lively with interesting food and great drinks. You can take your parents and your friends and everyone will have a great time. Large and noisy but price is right and space is very interesting.

It's off the main downtown area, parking is a bit challenging, but the food is great and interesting, and amazing cocktails. It gets a bit crowded and noisy, so ask to sit upstairs.

Wonderful, interesting food, great for sharing a bunch of dishes with a small group. Great cocktails too. Early dinner, late dinner - go whenever! The place has a great feel but it's noisy - don't go for romantic conversation!

Loved this place. Went late on a Sunday and it was quiet so a laid back chilled vibe. Had starters and cocktails and everything was on point. The lamb cheeks were EVERYTHING. Highly recommend.

They do some serious strong staple dishes. Their best are as follows (in my humble opinion): Fried Chicken, Slow-Cooked Ribs, Lamb Cheeks, Grilled Romaine Salad, and of course the Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert... More

Yes, they do take reservations for 3. I've done it several times. As another reviewer indicated, parking is on the street. In the times that I've been to Mua, I don't believe the walk has ever been more than 1-2 blocks.
