Love the lantern aesthetics here, the ambiance is relaxing and cool. The food is good, tried the osyter, excaliburger and the snow dessert. We came here just to grab appetizer, wish could have ordered more but maybe next time.

Met some friends at The Blind Tiger for dinner. An adventure from the start: stairs or elevator to the basement, giant, bright murals, eclectic decor, big bar, big screen tv's tuned to sports, picnic-style tables. Very attentive service. A short Asian-fusion menu. When we had...questions about some of the cocktails, Felix, our server, brought us samples -- and offered to bring more if we wanted to explore others. The Tiger's Blood was deemed a bit bland, the Bohigas Brut Cava and Nitro Merlin Milk Stout were hits (several times over). We ordered five items to share: fried Brussel sprouts, roasted meatballs (two orders), pork dumplings, Massam curry fries, and shrimp with long beans. More than enough for the five of us, although we cleared all of the plates and still had room for bread pudding and cheesecake for dessert. It was all delicious.More

We love the food here, you can pick from small plates of big plates, asian fusion delicious seasonal menu and the only thing to be aware of is the noise , it is loud, last time i visited i almost regret it because they had...a private party and we were seated on the community tables, it was too loud and We enjoy a quiet place for conversation.More

This restaurant was just what we were looking for! Cool place in the basement, funky crowd and comfortable for us all. Food is sort of an Asian mix. Food and drinks were really good. Very glad we found it!

Cozy basement bar with decent Asian fusion tapas and creative cocktails. I was surprised that it was in the basement at first. But I really liked the ambience, dimly lit, bench seating, TV/projectors playing, nice Japanese lantern hanging from the ceiling. The food here is...pretty good for a bar. I recommend the Manssaman curry fries, oysters, and roasted meatballs with pineapple sauce. We also tried sending desserts, tres leches panna cotta and warm rice pudding, both were nothing special. Service was slow but decent. We got a burnt rice pudding but the waiter was nice enough to take that off the bill. Tips: 1) Come here for the oyster happy hour (5-7PM every day), so worth it! 2) Early bird happy hour 5-7PM Sunday through Thursday onlyMore

Went with 3 friends, immediately liked basement location, then the projector tv's then the picnic table under the framework roof constructed within the building. I chose rabbit hearts, very chewy, wouldn't do it again but happy that I tried it. It was fun and different.

While the atmosphere was entertaining (as well as the name), I wasn't impressed by the food and the drinks were overpriced. There are so many other bars in Oakland to eat and drink. Go to them. Blind Tiger is not worth the wait or the...price.More

Don't let the bench seating put you off. Be surrounded by an artsy atmosphere, weird movies on big screens while eating good food, I mean seriously good food. Go with a group so you can try more dishes.
