This is my second time eating at Javi's in Oakdale. The food is authentic and worth eating. The servers are respectful and courteous. However, my experience with just one set of customers was odd, but not surprising. As I was waiting at the bar for...my to-go-food, I was wearing my mask for respect to the customers and the workers due to COVID restrictions. When I started to exit the door, this Caucasian family got my attention, quickly. The dad coughed out loud in a sarcastic way, then the mom yelled "good-bye," loud enough for me to hear. I immediately walked back in and looked at them to let them know I was aware of what they did. Though, they couldn't look at me in the eye. I left knowing that I will never eat there again. I am bi-racial, but I didn't think entering a minority place of business would make me feel uncomfortable. Maybe it is just the air that is toxic in Oakdale with some ignorant people. Hopefully this couple's kids don't pass their ignorance on to their family's generation and people of all ethnic backgrounds can continue to eat in restaurants with such respect. Server was not up,to par, my beef enchalada was not seasoned on the inside, bland. The wife's shrimp dinner was ok. Good parking.

I think this is a place young people like because of the pricing and it is a good hook up place. For me, too busy, food not to my liking. But All of my younger friends love it!
Had a good first experience at Javi's while passing through. Sat in the main dining area, service was quick and attentive. Great selection of food and it came out from the kitchen fast. It was a great experience.
Ok I was in Oakdale on business and asked a local where I could get a whiskey? He said Javi’s how convenient it’s right around the corner from my hotel the Best Western. I had the fajitas and some Gentlemen Jack and soda water. Excellent...bar atmosphere lots of tvs all sports on. Also a main dining room for traditional dining. Wait staff is excellent. Next time in town I’ll stop in for sureMore
Good Mexican food and margaritas. Especially liked the burrito plate. Service was good and price was medium range.

We showed up, after arriving in Oakdale from San Fran fairly late. The staff was accommodating and the food was good. The burritos were huge. I wished I had halved one with someone!
This Mexican food is pretty sub-par. I'm sure people come for the bar and TV. The food is very unimpressive and there is nothing notably great on the menu. The menu options are your typical options at a traditional California-Mexican style family restaurant. However, there...is no pride taken in the cooking. The food is generally bland and the sauces are especially one-dimensional. The red sauce basically taste like canned tomato sauce. There are plenty of other Mexican food options in town to give a try. So avoid this place and give somewhere else a try where you'll get some authentic Mexican food.More
We came here during a basketball tournament for my daughter. We showed up with a large group in the late afternoon without giving them much warning. They accommodated us with plenty of tables and a really talented wait staff. Our sever was able to keep...probably 10 or more checks together. I was seriously impressed. The chips and salsa were good and they kept that flowing. The menu has a good selection. We'd come here again.More
Great Food and good selection. Very courteous people. It was a quiet atmosphere so people could carry on a conservation with out raising there voices. The service was good and did not half to wait for the meal.
