I was dropping off my Dad in Sacramento after our Thanksgiving visit. We stopped at Sol Cubano for lunch and I was impressed. We split the sampler plate and a Cuban sandwich. Sampler had roast pork, two kinds of plantains, croquettes, salad, rice & beans, and papa rellena. Out of this world! And the Cuban sandwich was perfect. No imposters... More

We travel to Cuba in November and visited Sol Cubano to get a taste of what to expect. My wife went to Cuba in 2010 and the food was not good due to the embargo. Information available now, and at the restaurant, says now it is getting back to the historical past. We enjoyed our dinner at Sol Cubano and... More

I saw Sol Cubano in a tiny strip mall not far my hotel as I was searching for a place that was not fast foods or a chain restaurant. On entering, I was hit with delicious aromas wafting from the small kitchen and throughout the tiny dining area. Ordered their lechon and Cuban rice combo and a Cubano sandwich...muy delicioso!

Had a great meal in little Havana a few months ago and wanted more Cuba food. Found just the place. Excellent food and prices were more than reasonable. The beef marinated in lime was a stand out dish. Great empanadas and coquettes. Had a flan and Cubano coffee, lovely combination. Only negative comment only have the music on and turn... More

I had the lechon (pork) with Cuban rice. Portions is just right. Food look and taste appetizing. I also tried the cuban coffee with the fried plantain. Full to the max and very satisfied. A definite must try. They have lots to choose from on their menu.

This place rocks! I've been looking for some Caribbean food since my other fav place closed and I found it. I'm Panamanian but a lot of the appetizers and some of the meals at Sol Cubano remind me of home and it's the closest I get in Sacramento, without cooking it myself. If I didn't live on the other side... More

We stopped in for lunch looking for something different. We found it. I'm no expert on Cuban food but I can say we thought the fare here was good and reasonably priced!

Great food, reasonable prices, service without personality. Our party of four each really enjoyed our meals -- hot, tasty, and filling. If the waiter had smiled or spoken to us a little it would have been even better. Service wasn't slow or rude, it was more like the waiter didn't want to be there. But we went there for food,... We went to celebrate my son's birthday by having lunch with the family. The folks who run Sol are very friendly and accommodating by setting up a table for 9 for a walk-in. It was Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner, and it was great they were able to do this. We tried the Ropa Viejas, the pork Lechon, the... More
