Sat at the bar and Sarah was a great bartender. Had some happy hour drafts and shared 3 appetizers, skins, wings and pretzel bites. Really enjoyable and great value.

We had a fantastic lunch at Black Horse Tavern when we met our daughter & her family. We were looking for a place near the Silver Lakes soccer complex, where our granddaughter was playing in a tournament, and were very impressed with the food and...the service and the accommodation made for our group of 12. Best happy hour menu in town- jalapeño skins, Irish nachos, potato croquettes, and the list goes on. My favorite menu items are the house special, hanger steak, and the patty melt- try them yourself!

Food was good, but of course, being a sports bar it was a bit noisy. We had a great time and the atmosphere is fun.

A quick bite in the mid day--service was quick, food was filling. Atmosphere friendly and family oriented. No loud background noise.

We love this place! Really good chicken fried steak and country fried chicken w country gravy. Fish and Chips very good as well. Friday night Fried Catfish w Shrimp Special. One of those places that you can order anything on the menu and it will...come out hot and tasty! Love the Potato & Cheese soup- it's like "Loaded Baked Potato soup" at other places. Creamy rich and packed with flavor! The sandwiches are also top notch - just plain good- they are doing it right all across the board! I have never had a bad experience here!More

This was for BRUNCH, no idea about dinner. We booked this for a gathering for our Mother's Day Brunch. We based solely on Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. We booked a party of 12 at 10:30 am and arrived early. The staff was...prepared and we were seated at 10:25. The brunch selection was great, lots to choose from. Always leery about the service on Mother's Day, we were no disappointing - great waitress and lots of staff. Lots of different dishes ordered and everyone complimented their selection. I had a carnitas omelet covered in a chiplotle hollandaise sauce. It was incredible. All eleven dishes came out within 4 or 5 minutes - WOW! I'm not a local, but in the area again, will come back.More

Our first time here, very pleased! The staff is friendly and engaging. The drinks were good and the food was delicious! We had the Boneless Chicken Wings, the Turkey Bacon & Avocado Sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Highly recommended items. We will definitely come...back!More

The Black Horse Tavern has been one of our go to spots for several years when you just don't know what you are in the mood for. The menu selections are really good from soups and salads to some specialty items that are fan favorites...like the Hanger Steak. Taco Tuesday is amazing, their carne asada tacos are made from their marinated hanger steak. The Carnita's tacos and Fish taco's are also very good. Wednesday is their Italian night but I'm not a fan of the Italian food here. Thursday is one of my favorites, it's Hanger Steak special night and it's amazing. The staff are always working hard, they are friendly and prompt for a place that always seems to be pretty busy on the after work hours. They will all help you out if you need something and they don't tell you to ask your waitress when she stops by. The Happy Hour selections on the menu are amazing, you could just have a few appetizers and be content. They have good drink specials on Happy Hour and would have to recommend the Hanger Steak Skewers. It comes as a Kabob with veggies and served on a plate of rice. You could order two of those and be done. We enjoy coming here every now and then and are never disappointed.More

Stopped in on the most rainy night in February. A small wait for a party of 3 but not long. I was lucky they didn't tell me everyone in the party needed to be there because 2 of the party got stuck on the fwy...and one ended up not showing. I ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer with all kinds of choices off the menu. All were good and I could pick at it until the other person in my party arrived. I enjoyed the buffalo chicken the most. Potato skins are OK only because they are not my favorite. My server was very attentive even though I was solo for about an hour. Once we decided to "order" the server brought us a sample of the soup of the day, split pea. Not to our liking so we went with the potato cheese. Has lots of chunks potato for sure. Soup, the perfect choice for a rainy night. A very family friendly place for diner even with a full bar.More
