This place is raved about by locals and tourists alike. They have far more than your average breakfast joint. It is directly on the beach but the dining area has wind breakers and heat lamps to block out the chilling wind. Make sure you have a reservation because the line gets long fast.

My nephew was going away to college and had never been to the beachcomber..So we thought it be a great idea to take him for a going away breakfast on the beach… It's such a beautiful area to sit and have breakfast or lunch or even dinner because it's right on the sand in Crystal Cove… Not many restaurants are... This is a great restaurant, food is excellent, service good, and view is perfect. Very popular, sign in and expect a wait- it will be worth it. While waiting visit the shops, or walk along the beach- great fun either way.

We went on New Years Day for brunch. Missed it by "that much." So we settled for lunch. Served amazing Bloody Mary's. Our group ordered the Kobe Burger, Steak sandwich and the Shrimp Tacos. The burger was huge and nicely topped. Nice amount of fries. The shrimp tacos were flavorful and fresh. The lime dressed salad was bright and refreshing.... More

We've been here numerous times, and just visited in early December. The beach setting was beautiful, and the Christmas tree was quite festive. It's not my favorite food in Orange County, but the setting tips the scale from 3 stars to 4.

When we visit from out of town we always make it to the Beachcomber. It is especially great for sunset if you can time it right. The food is good but the location is fabulous. You have to park across the road but you can either chose to drop your guests or take the shuttle.

The wait could be as long as 1 hour or even longer, if it is at sunrise it is totally worth it! There is even healthy options on the menu and the portions are a good amount. Tables are 4 tops and it is so crowded however totally worth it!!! They take your drivers Lisence to reserve a table. Also... More

Our family had breakfast at the Beachcomber. It was an hour wait. We did not mind because the location is beautiful and we used the time to walk along the beach. The service was good and the food was delicious. It was a unique experience.

We made the drive down to crystal cove to eat at beachcomber. We were able to get a seat right away. We had heard there was always a wait bit at 11am we were sat. The food was excellent and the area is great. A beautiful beach and great view. Glad we went wonderful experience
