Grab a table by the water if you can, away from the bustle of the servers. It's a very popular restaurant and seems to always be busy. The food is wonderful, authentic Mexican with some twists. Great margaritas!

We dined here on Sat. evening last weekend. The staff were excellent. Our waitress was exceptional. Helpful with advise on the menu, tequila options, etc. We were very impressed with the teamwork displayed by the staff. We have not witnessed this to this level before. While our waitress was discussing their tequila choices with my husband, one of her co-workers... More

Make a reservation cause this place is hopping. Great watermelon Margs made with fresh ingredients. Excellent tacos from shrimp to goat cheese. Service was great. But be prepared to wait. On the water so sit outside on a nice night if there's no special event going on cause can be noisy.

We had an average meal here considering the price, we were a party of 3 and none of us were particularly impressed. The cocktail I had was the standout and it was great to get complimentary chips and dip/salsa. Don't think we'll come back.

I love a good place with fresh margaritas and this place had the best watermelon one! Mexican food is my favorite and they do a great job but I will remember them forever for the drink! It was crowded but we had a spot reserved for my sisters birthday and had a great time.

Lively place by the water! It’s popular, so there may be a wait. But grab a beer or Margarita in the bar and take in Newport Bay, ‘cuz the amazing, inventive tacos are worth the wait. Do not miss the Vampiro or the Short Ribs tacos! The Ribeye taco is also excellent. If you can take the heat, I double... More

Busy place. Requested outside seating near harbor. My selection was good the tostada with pouched eggs and chicken. However, the outdoor area was hot and no fan or misters. A couple of the ladies wanted French toast but they were out so the guests were disappointed. Good drinks but my sister said she would probably not go back. The desert... More

My best friend and I met for dinner at SOL Cocina and could not have been more mesmerized by the food. We shared the sweet corn as an appetizer, roasted and served buttered, with chipotle salsa, cotixa cheese, ground ancho chile and lime. This has forever made my top 10 appetizers list. I also ordered the sweet potato tacos and... More

We went on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. The service was attentive and friendly. I thought the food was very good. It's right on the harbor with nice water views. It's on PCH but the entrance is on the other side so use your GPS or map if it's your first time.
