They limit the bar seating to small groups but if you can actually get a seat at the bar it is a good option. Especially since it is so DANG hard to get in to this place...the drinks and food are great. I always order...the trout dip but be sure and order it with toast points or you will get boring saltines. The crab cake salad is often a mystery dish that is sometimes off the menu...hmmmm but the spicy Cole slaw side dish is excellent.More

Dining with friends, a friend & I split the chopped salad. Both had terrible reactions that night. Reported to manager a few days later, who doubted my experience & didn't apologize or offer a solution. I had to ask for a refund on credit card...instead of being offered a credit for salad via a gift card. We spent a lot of money that night on wine & other food. Oh & they don't take Discover so my other friends had to put on their cards. There are a lot of great restaurants in area. This one left a bad taste in my mouth.More

We stopped in for dinner and were suprised at the hustle bustle of this lively place. Given that it was busy, the wait staff was fairly attentive and the atmosphere and setting were comfortable. We had the New England Clam Chowder and then we had...the shrimp with a side of fries to share. Everything was tasty and well prepared, but somehow it just wasn't all that. We ate at other restaurants in the area while visiting with better food and not as expensive. I think this place it's all about the lively atmosphere and the 'see and be seen' kind of buzz that we experienced.More

On the way North from Dana Point, we were looking for a dinner option and could not have been happier to have found Gulfstream. Dinner on the fireside patio was fantastic-starting with the artichoke hearts and biscuits. We had the tuna burger, chowder, and tuna...salad. The portions are beautiful and extravagant. WHAT WE ORDERED: Newport Beach Clam Chowder, Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Mustard Barbecue Beef Ribs, 'The Duke" Filet Mignon, Tres Leches Cake...and Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Fudge! The decor is so cute with little boat accents everywhere. The food was absolutely delicious and I LOVE that they had several low carb options. This is a very wonderful seafood restaurant with great service over the top. but they used to serve fresh thick fish grilled and They don’t have any of fresh anymore even for dinner. the biscuits are over-the-top delicious with great butter and great honey the...artichoke is expensive but it is wonderful and grilled with fab sauce and fried shrimp really gigantic prawns and Panko batter wonderful to me. the rice salad is heavenly the kale salad is good as well it’s a wonderful place but it’s very sad that fresh unusual fish is no longer availableMore

Had a recent business dinner here. Amazing place. Parking lot full of extremely nice cars lol. Looks like a great place for happy hour but we were here for the food. Dinner was excellent. There is no dress code here contrary to their web site and previous visits pre covid. Women in short shorts, tank tops and flip flops. Men in flip flops and cut offs. Caesar salad made with Kale!!! Week day lunch with my wife on a sunny April day. Bottle of Kistler with Oysters, Ahi salad and Dover sole. Enjoyed it so much did it again the following week. Service was great both times and the patio is easy and unpretentious. Sorry forgot...to mention HEAVENLY BISCUITS appropriately named and an absolute must order. Unfortunately on both visits we missed the artichokes, but I hear they are amazing so please try them for me and write a review.More
