We ate breakfast and lunch here during our week vacation at the resort. It is really the best restaurant on the resort. They have everything American you want, like a diner. There is also a cute bar with a huge TV in the back where we watched Sunday football. The scenery is breathtaking.

While the Coliseum Grill offers a breakfast buffet most mornings, they weren't serving it due to a private event in the adjoining dining room. That was a bit disappointing, however, their regular breakfast menu does have a host of good options. Enough to please both my 16 and 10 yr olds. The service was a bit slow, but again, they... More

We had a great breakfast: eggs benedict and waffle. The service was also great. We sat outside, on the terrace. The weather was great and it was overall good.

The Pelican Hill resort has a few eating options and while the Andrea may have romance and fine cuisine, the Coliseum Grill has it’s own pluses. This is the resort’s casual poolside dining (and also where they serve breakfast). It is set one level above the Coliseum pool. (And what a pool. Seriously - you’ve never seen anything like it.... After playing a round of golf at Pelican, we wanted to relax in the warm nighttime air with a bottle of wine and a bite to eat . The Coliseum popped up on our phone offering a stunning setting overlooking a circular pool surrounded by cabanas, a rare glimpse into the Orange County elite lifestyle. We thought we'd give it... Coliseum Pool & Grill is a great place for a romantic lunch or dinner. If the pool is busy, it does get a little loud, but there is plenty of interior seating.

Expensive for what you get. I had breakfast there every day of my stay but only because I was on a business account. otherwise head down the LONG hill to another option. Corned beef hash is really odd--avoid it!

My family stopped for lunch here two days ago. We have been many times before. The setting of the restaurant is breathtaking. The food is dependably good to excellent. The only reason I do not rate it five stars is that I think the prices outrun the food.

Incredibly hospitable staff to a solo diner. Enjoyed a delicious turkey club and fries while dining on the patio and soaking in the gorgeous day before heading down to the pool.

Given the other dining options at Pelican Hill, this one is a pass. The food at the Grill by the golf course, the restaurant up the hill at the Villas and the food at Andrea are all dramatically better. The views from Coliseum are spectacular though, so if you are all about the views, then this place won't disappoint!
