I've come to really like this place! I've been coming here for more than a year now, and their noodles are really just unbeatable. The chewiness and quality of the noodles are great, and I haven't found anywhere else around the area with noodles like...this! (And believe me, I've eaten a looooot of noodles around South Bay). I always get the spicy fish noodle soup here. There are a lot a lot a lot of noodles in the bowl! Fish is okay, and I wish there were more vegetables. But the noodles! So much.
I've also tried my friend's spicy beef noodle soup, and the flavor is quite good as well, though a bit on the spicy side. The big plate chicken is a really special dish and it's huge! Lots of meat, though more noodles could be good. Get this and an appetizer to share with one other person, and you're set! If you're here by yourself for the first time, get the big plate chicken and prepare for leftovers! If you're here for a second time, get the spicy fish noodle soup. I love it! Yum.
Pricing is a bit high, but for the amount of food you get, it's great! My fish noodle is $8.80 pre-tax pre-tip, and the big chicken plate is $10.99. Highly recommend!More
The name of this place is a bit mis-leading, since the noodles are not OK, they are excellent!
We had lunch there recently. The menu offers a fairly extensive list of noodle or noodle-based dishes. The key to all the noodles is that they are...completely hand-made from scratch. That gives the noodle the texture you would not get from noodles bought from grocery stores.
The place itself is low key, as many other Chinese restaurants focusing on serving authentic fares. Again, people go there for the food.
The portion of each noodle dish was quite large. We ended up ordering a few different kinds to share family style. Given the portion of the dish, I would say this would be the way to go that would give you an opportunity to sample different dishes.
They don't take reservations. So it might be challenging for big groups. But they do have one big round table that can comfortably sit eight.
Highly recommend it!More
