I stopped by for a small pepperoni pizza to go. I decided to stop here based on Tripadvisor reviews. First of all parking is easy to find. Secondly, customer service is very very good. The pizza was okay. Only complaint is I used the women's...restroom and it was not clean. Also, they did not provide toilet seat covers. Other than that..I would recommend this place.More
We loved the cheesy bread and our pepperoni pizza. We ordered a medium and had enough for two meals. We love visiting 'family' restaurants while on vacation and this one is a gem.
Napoleone’s is a traditional and longtime pizza parlor in downtown National City. Service is the best on the South Bay pizza scene—everyone is well trained and friendly. It is also one of the cleanest (front & back of the house) eating establishments you could wish...for. I have only ordered pizza; both to-go and dine in, so sorry for my narrow focus. This is a traditional medium thick crust with generous cheese-on-top (over most toppings) pizza. Each component is high quality. The crust is pleasing when fresh, and much more rare, is enjoyable even when reheated in the microwave (yes I know better). The sauce is full bodied and rich. And, as noted, the cheese is generous and excellent. Both the pepperoni and sausage were high quality, but the amount is just slightly less than expected. Still, very satisfying and hard to leave in the refrigerator. I find myself standing at the refrigerator door, contemplating another slice. A final positive attribute, it is just around the corner from Niederfrank’s ice cream! Pizza with a super premium ice cream chaser is an unbeatable combination.More
This was within walking distance from our hotel. It was very busy and it didn’t take long to see why! Very nice atmosphere! The chicken pesto sandwich was to die for! Mom had the roast beef sandwich, which she loved! They are generous hoagies so...we got half wrapped to go. Our waiter was amazing! We knew what dinner the following evening was going to be! On our way back from the beach we ordered a pizza for take out! It was delicious! Great family restaurant! Will for sure go back when I visit San Diego again!More

We ended up here because it was within walking distance from our hotel. The pizza was good, sandwiches were good, and the staff was nice. It was a good experience, and we'd definitely go back.

Our family has eaten at this restaurant for over 40 years. The food is excellent and seems to just keep getting better as new generations take over the business. Great place to take the entire family for a good Italian meal.
Really enjoyed this place. My friend cannot eat tomato so they gave us the option to make our own pizza. That is great open to make ur own. The wings were real good too, they just needed to be fried longer. Will definetly recoment this...place for big groups. Big family or family meetingsMore
This Italian/Pizzaria restaurant has a great atmosphere for family, friends, and couples. The prices are just right, provides a great bar with great options of drinks. Location is busy and kind of hard to find parking but worth the stop. Very clean, friendly and great...quality food. This restaurant is the best restaurant in America!!! My boyfriend ordered the buffalo chicken pizza with ranch sauce on. I ordered the clam tagliatelle (small size which was still very big) both meals were amazing! We did a trip round the west coast of America...and nothing came close to the food we had at napoleons. If I was to go to national city it would be just to go to this place! The staff are so friendly and the restaurant has a good vibe and atmosphere. Need a napoleons in UK pleaseMore

I stayed across the street at the Ramada (there's a review for that one) and noticed the sign for Napoleone's. I had planned on going downtown to eat, but I'm very glad I changed plans. I couldn't ask for more. I ordered one of my...favorite dishes, linguine with clams, and it elevated me to food heaven. Everyone working there was upbeat and welcoming. The restaurant is a big part of local history and artwork depicting that is on the walls. Some great photos add to it. Since I walked there, I can't really report on the parking, but it looked as if there's plenty of space on the street.More
