Friendly atmosphere, great tasting food, true representation of our great culinary.. Be sure to ask each dish that conquer your eyes to make sure that its the taste you are looking for. Grilled items are all good and the Halo-Halo is excellent. Enough parking spaces for all diners closer to Hwy 5. Lovely decors that came from The Philippines.. I... More

Was driving around driving solo and decided to stop at the Filipino Restaurant. Food was very good place was centrally located and restaurant was clean. Only thing I was disappointed in was at the food prices, a little over what I think would be fair.

The food we ordered was so terrible! The food we ordered looked like someone in the kitchen just took a bunch of leftovers and put it together and heated it up. The presentation was worse...it was in served in bowls that had so many chips. Not worth it for the price. Worse Filipino restaurant. People recommended that this restaurant was... More

Pictures are always appealing. Made reserevations 2weeks ahead. Menu was the Barkada package-shrimp over cooked, calamari refried -who knows how many times it was fried,,,,all breaded no calamari to taste. Side dish wash-beefsteak with awful smell of bad meat. Only grilled eggplant was good. Service not friendly, waitress rude. Bathroom-do not go use-ugh! Health Inspection or Food Safety Regulation -kindly dine... More

I am recommending this restaurant to all of you. The atmosphere is family like setting. The price is reasonably affordable. The waitress is on time, always checked if we needed more help. Great for family birthday parties.

We decided to try something new and found Villa Manila. Never having had Filipino food before we were at a loss on what to order. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and explained the items on the menu. There were so many choices I was still not sure what to order and asked if she would order for us, and... More

Villa Manila provides great homestyle Filipino food in a sit-down restaurant (homestyle assuming your mom is a great cook.) I especially liked the vegetables (pinakbet and a dish that I can't even pronounce - guinataang sitaw & kalabasa). I find that Filipino food is traditionally meat-oriented and often fried, so it was great to discover some tasty vegetables too! The... More

We go to San Diego at least once a year, coming from Ventura County; this was our first time at Villa Manila, just a couple miles south of San Diego and fairly easy to reach from the Zoo and our hotel in Hotel Circle. They had a special of 2 people for $20, and since it had 2-3 dishes that... More

This restaurant used to be the old Max's. Same cook. The crispy pata and sizzling sisig was delicious. The diniguan was too soupy for me. Overall, still great food and service. Will definitely make another trip before heading back home.
