We were passing through Napa on a quick west coat trip to pick up an antique motorcycle motor and asked our wine steward to recommend a place for dinner. He couldn't have picked a better spot! Even though we did not have any reservations we were seated quickly. Our waited was excellent, appeared to be Italian, as did all the... More
Within walking distance from Senza hotel. Very nice atmosphere and reasonable prices for some excellent pasta. The outdoor seating also looked comfortable, though we sat inside as it was a bit chilly. Found out it is a local favorite and I can certainly see why. Just a note, there is currently some road work being done right at the turn... More
We had a group of 6 and had a nice dinner. All dishes very good. Service a tad slow but they were busy. Favorites included frito misto - a nice blend of seafood and veggies, lamb shanks, salmon and seafood stew. Very fresh and nicely prepared. Recommend!
My wife and I arrived in Napa around lunchtime and found this place by chance. Authentic Italian with fresh ingredients, prepared with care. Best octopus salad since Greek islands, where they really know their octopus prep. Great location for lunch or dinner after a day of wine tasting in the valley. We only had two days in Napa, ate here both... More

Don Giovanni has a real Napa atmosphere located on the Silverado Trail....very easy to find. The pasta is made fresh in-house, which tremendously adds to the taste. My cheese filled ravioli was divine. The dessert menu was limited yet every item was tempting. We ordered the butterscotch pudding made with aged scotch. It doesn't sound exciting, but wow, so yummy.
My friends liked Bisto Don Giovanni more than I did. Pleasant, but not great. Had the spaghetti & clams ($24) and a slice of my friend's Margherite pizza ($17). Would rate the food at 3.5. The complimentary bread was not tasty, very average. 3- Location (in Napa, along the highway) and, accordingly, ambiance, rated at 4. One glass of Luigi... More
