We love to ho to the happy hour at Carpe Diem! Their charcuterie board is excellent and you can enjoy with one of their wine or beverage specials. A great value in Napa's restaurant district. You may decide to stay for dinner which has a...very wide range of fantastic food!More

We shared the truffle popcorn---so easy but so great! Next, had great risotto balls and then the ostrich burger. Everything was perfect, great meal and friendly service.

I’ve been to many wine bars and this is definitely one of the best. Definitely the first one I’ve felt the need to write a review for. The ambience was very relaxed, but also the food was simply awesome! I had a charcuterie board that...was extremely good but I highly recommend the ostrich burger!! I had a bite of it and I wish I had ordered my own. I’d never had one before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Expect greatness!! Plus the truffle fries it came with definitely held their own. They take reservations for the main dining room but it is open seating at the bar with high tops available too. We got a high top right away. Definitely recommend this amongst the other great restaurants in downtown Napa.More

Came here just before happy hour. Ordered 2 glasses of wine off the happy hour menu. It wasn’t California based but it was drinkable. We also ordered the charcuterie board. That was delicious and plentiful! It was pretty quiet in there for 6 pm so...the vibe was chill. We had great service and glad we stopped in!More

I was in Napa and wanted a good glass of wine. I found it in a red wine flight. I will go back for sure.

Had dinner here. The atmosphere was nice. Service was okay. Food was 50/50. I got the short rib ravioli which was great; very flavorful and filling. Sweet chilli calamari was also spot on! My fiance got the steak with fried polenta and grilled brussel sprouts....The steak was charred a bit too much. Almost burnt straight through. Anyways, not likely to return here and I'm sure there are dozens of amazing restaurants within a block of this restaurant.More

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. I have to say that the customer service was great, very friendly hostess - Jose was taking our orders, he was very attentive, friendly. Food was very good, had the pork belly, octopus, for drinks,Negroni which they make...them delicious. This is a place where you have to be open minded and venture out of your comfort zone, if you’re the fast food type of person and can’t appreciate a good cooked meal, there’s fast food down the street. You must visit and enjoy their food!More

We are committed Trip Advisor Foodies .....but when we walked into Carpe Diem on a Monday night and we were the only customers it took great resolve to stay. None the less, we were very happy that we did. Napa is wine country but we...both enjoyed the 2 locally brewed draughts! The entree menu wasn’t large but my wife enjoyed her scallops and risotto as well as I thought my Halibut dinner was excellent! Both dinners were priced well too! Great service as well!More

In the first 10 minutes, I was ready to leave and probably should have. We had five for dinner and I wanted to table split two and three. The waiter said that wasn't possible. I looked over the drink menu and there was a list...of six of scotches, only one of which was a blend. The waiter said that was it. Maybe I should drink something besides scotch. I ordered a $30 entre and asked to have vegetables instead of potatoes. The waiter said they couldn't do that. My halibut arrived completely dried out -- I had to saw in order to cut it with a knife. My son ordred the ravioli entre and got four normal-size ravioli -- no vegies, no salad. The bill was $265 – no appetizers, dessert or coffee When I complained to the manager, he said it was "policy" not to split checks, and I shouldn't come to a speciality restaurant and expect a full bar. When I said I wasn't here to debate policy, I just wanted him to know that a customer who had paid a $265 dinner tab wasn't happy. He responded that he was trying to explain and I was rude. Anyway, it didn't end well, I won't be back and my recommendation is that people dining in Napa find another venue.More
