I had a long day of wine tasting, and just wanted a quick bite. Was staying at the Andaz and saw this tavern across the street and decided to give it a try without reading any reviews. Figured it would just be average tavern food. Had the sliders and the truffle & parmesan fries. The foods was a lot better... More

Totally enjoyed our meal at the Norman Rose Tavern, the food, service and drinks were all 1st class. Convenient location in downtown Napa, especially for us since we stayed right across the street in the Andaz Napa. Highly recommend

We ate here the night we got in to Napa. We were staying at the Andaz across the street. Excellent service. Can be loud. One of the best burgers I've ever had. This is the most normal food we found in downtown Napa.

One of the wineries recommended this place to us so we went for lunch. The smoked salmon toast was awesome. We were pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. If you order water be prepared to given a small glass. Thought it was funny how small the glass was.

This was a good place to stop after wine touring. The food was decent and staff polite, but not overly friendly. They did not act like they enjoyed their job or wanted to engage with customers. I had the pork belly meatloaf and it was pretty good. The rest of my group had some of their salads, chili and the... More

We had lunch here with our friends and it was great. The service was top notch and fast. The meal was excellent, we all had different sandwiches and they were excellent. The fries and salads also wonderful.

We stopped here on our weekend in Napa and ordered the steak and a burger. We requested both medium, but both came well done and extremely dry/tough. We told the waitress, her response was "we can give you 20% off" we just want a normal meal, not trying to scam for discounts. Would never go again, downtown joes had a... More

The husband had the mussels and frites and I had the heirloom tomato salad and the mac and cheese. Both were delicious. Very busy place with good vibe. Prices reasonable for Napa. Would return if in the area. Cheers and happy eats.

This was a great place to grab a bite but not overpriced. I had their Fish and Chips, and my wife had 2 appetizers (side salad and potato cheddar soup). All was very, very good. My wife would have given the salad 5 stars instead of 4 1/2 stars had the salad had walnuts (it had cranberries and bleu cheese... More

Description
Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.
