The food was good. The atmosphere was fun, and the place was clean and well decorated. The service was professional and fast.

Great way to start day. Watched early football games before wine tastings. Went back at night for late snack

I have been all over Ireland eating fish and chips...and these rival any I had there. The crust is light and flavorful...4 pieces of fish and a pile of chips. Our waitress was good...perhaps a B. When we were there, it was busy...and we didn't seem to have just one person checking on us. Once she forgot that we had... More

Terrible service. The vegetable soup we ordered was cold with very few vegetables. The waiter was slow with our order and did not check on us very often. In addition, the food portions were not equal among tables. For example, the table next to us got three scoops of ice cream on their apple cranberry tart, while we only got... More

I will probably never again have a fried egg sandwich as good as I had at the Norman Rose Tavern and for dinner, how great!

We were a group of 10 very experienced diners. We all enjoyed our meals very much, but the service was the worst we've ever had. It took at least 30 minutes for server to come by after we were seated. She took drink orders and food at the same time since we were ready and hungry. They food was delivered... More

If you crave a great burger, this is one of the best in Napa. The menu has lots of tempting items but the Lamb Burger is insanely delicious. Ground lamb perfectly seasoned, cooked medium rare, sautéed spinach, feta cheese and a super soft brioche bun. Incredibly juicy, no need for condiments, this burger is perfect. Fries are ordered as a... More

I had a long day of wine tasting, and just wanted a quick bite. Was staying at the Andaz and saw this tavern across the street and decided to give it a try without reading any reviews. Figured it would just be average tavern food. Had the sliders and the truffle & parmesan fries. The foods was a lot better... More

Totally enjoyed our meal at the Norman Rose Tavern, the food, service and drinks were all 1st class. Convenient location in downtown Napa, especially for us since we stayed right across the street in the Andaz Napa. Highly recommend

We ate here the night we got in to Napa. We were staying at the Andaz across the street. Excellent service. Can be loud. One of the best burgers I've ever had. This is the most normal food we found in downtown Napa.

Thank Pam R

Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.
