I wanted to go here. The oysters were really good. The sourdough bread was fresh. I liked the clam chowder, quite a bacon taste. The service was good. We walked around a bit later.

Stopped in at Hog Island for a quick appetizer, ended up staying for 2 hours trying every type oyster. I couldn't stop, they were amazing, especially the bar-b-q oysters! Every dish we tried was better than the last. If you're an oyster fan, this is the place!

We stopped by Hog Island on our way to dinner to enjoy some oysters and a drink - if you like either of those things then I'd highly recommend you do the same. We tried 4 types of oysters from Washington - Capital City, Chelsea Gem, Harstine Island, and Peale Passage. All were incredibly fresh and salty in the best... More

Warm noisy atmosphere inside the market, quieter outside patio. We liked this place, the night we were there the oysters were great. Other menu choices were limited. Agree with other reviewers maybe 30% too pricey. I like the location with in the larger market... Servers work hard to be super friendly. Can get good coffee, ice cream, cheese, fresh fruit... More

We stopped here pre dinner for oysters. We sat at a community table which was nice to visit with people and the atmosphere of Oxbow is alive and exciting especially because it was thanksgiving weekend. We had a dozen oysters of different varieties which was great to have that option. I wasn't over the moon about their mignonette, a bit... More

I hadn't realized that it's been over 4 years since i last visited HIOC-Napa. Came on a nippy Saturday and was among those fortunate to be part of the first seating of the day. We sat at the the counter and chose the far end of the counter where we had a superb view of their cooking performance. The high... More

Very fresh oysters. We tried 4 kinds. All had different and distinct tastes. YUMMY! Suggest to go for the one at half price during happy hour. Likely will not disappoint. Otherwise, this is Napa, so not going to fit into a tight budget. The clam chowder was delicious - lots of very fresh clams in the shell in a milk-based... More

It's small, located inside a food market. Crowded feel as you're seated at an actual bar. Very expensive...14$ for 4 oysters, 20$ for a bowl of stew. The food is good and fresh. If you love oysters and don't mind paying a premium this is the place for you! Friendly staff😊

We had friends in town from Mississippi so they were able to give a good review on the sweetwater oysters. Of course they loved them as well as the awesome grill cheese sandwich and clam chowder. A selection of beers and a couple of glasses of champagne were on the table and all were great. Service was on time and... More
