We were travelling to different National Parks when we decided we needed to take a break. We located the Wayside Grill on Tripadvisor. When we arrived the service was friendly. My family decided on fish and chips, a personal pizza and lobster bisque including a Caesar Salad. All were fantastic! Did you know that you can purchase the package of... More

Patio setting looking into forest of trees nice at sunset, will allow dog out on patio. Inside clean, a/c. Pizza special is a good deal and their nightly specials are good as well as their burgers. Waitress attentive. Local beers available too. See menu on their website and call for nightly special for prices.

Very nice burgers and beer joint. Not fancy at all, noisy, and fun. Would happily have gone back the next evening if a new place hadn't materialized.

We had dinner here the night before our hike up Mount Shasta. My husband and I both ordered off of their Fourth of July menu. He had the lasagna and I had a hatch pepper fettuccine Alfredo with asparagus. The portions were generous and the food was good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend waiting for the... More

My husband and I travel to the Mount Shasta area frequently and love to have dinner at the Wayside. Once an old "watering hole", located at the south end of Mount Shasta, the restaurant has been updated but retains its funky, eclectic style of ski cabin, dark woods, and mid-century bar. The owners are actively involved and make us feel... More

The food was mostly OK. Decent pizzas with a sauce that is just a bit too sweet. Burgers were good. Fish tacos were way too salty. Our server was pathetic. She started by coming over to our table telling us she is still busy with other tables so she will be able to be with us soon (what?!). Then she... More

Typical brew pub. Outdoor dining with a view was great. But menu variation limited. Go for it if you like beef and burgers!

We chose here because of the TA rating - and were disappointed. Their "famous lobster bisque" was Tex-Mex spicy and two of us sent it back. One steak ordered 'medium' was served almost raw - sent it back, too. The waitress seemed harried and overly busy to pay attention to our table.
