A great pit stop for seafood with a view of Morro Rock. The restaurant is literally next to the water and they only have outdoor seating here. That said, be prepared to protect your food from the vicious seagulls hanging around. We were so hungry...when we came that the long line almost deterred us from dining here. I imagine that is always the case as Giovanni's seems to be a popular spot here. Thankfully it wasn't a lengthy wait until we got to the counter and placed our order. The food came out fast, too. Check-in on Yelp for a free clam chowder with your order. We got fish and chips, calamari and chips, crab quesadilla, and of course, BBQ oysters in garlic sriracha. We upgraded to garlic fries for our chips which was a brilliant choice. Everything was very satisfying and aplenty that we ended up having leftovers. If you have a kid in tow, you can do away without ordering from the kids menu. That was our mistake getting a corn dog meal. It's really the only thing I wouldn't order again.More

Upon our recent trip to Morro Bay, we walked and saw this establishment. We saw a long line @ the back of the building, as it has a fuller menu, than @ the front order window. We opted for the front order window, as it...was explained to us that ordering @ either window, we can sit where we wished. After ordering @ front window, & all tables were taken, we sat @ a surfboard size bench, in front of the charter vessels & it was the best view. The fish n chips, we opted for garlic fries for 'chips' , poke', chowder, beer & wine. The fish was fresh, quality, flaky, just the right amount of batter, light, crunchy, 4 good sizes of fish; the garlic fries were delicious, crispy, crunchy, with garlic in the right amount, not overwhelming; the poke' was fresh with avocado, edamame. The clam chowder, fresh, good amount of clams, delicious. The prices, reasonable, ample portions. Sitting in front of the charter vessels, viewing the bay was as 'good as it gets'. The service was very good, the wait was little in time. This establishment is a high recommend.More

I wrote this review in the context that I wanted good ol' fashioned fish and chips on the wharf, and that's what we got! We also shared the bread bowl chowder which was delicious. Was it fancy? No. Was is healthy? No. But it's exactly...what I expected and I'm happy!More

Great food at reasonable prices. They have two pick up windows so service is speedy. If you place the order it might be easier to get a table by the water with a great view. If you place the order in the back window there...are tables in the back. They also have a fish market where you can get your fresh catch. My only complaint: the bathrooms where so filthy I had to hold it until we went somewhere else. This is why I give them a 3 stars.More

Had a great lunch here. Service fast, efficient and friendly. They have a whole bunch to choose from but I went with the shrimp burrito and the GF had what she called a "fantastic cheeseburger." Enjoyed it with some cold beer next to the water....Will be back next time we're in Morro Bay!More

Thank you for the 5 star review! The shrimp burrito is defiantly a favorite, and the surf and turf burrito is also :). Hope to see you back soon!

Outside seating only, order from a window, pick it up yourself. Clean your own table, no covid sanitizing. Limited menu Fried fish or a poke lunch, good fish and fries, but $16 for 1 fish order, $5 for 10 oz draft beer, no free water,...botttle water cost $3. Rip off. Fish was a solid 3 marks, but over priced. Put tables in parking lot of the old Coffee Pot.More

I came here as this was recommended by my cousin. I am a seafood lover so naturally I had to visit. The line was long and I waited about 40 minutes. You know if the line is that long, the food should be worth it....It gave my husband and I ample time to decide what we wanted to order. We got the blue crab sandwich (to die for), the fish and chips, garlic fries, and dozen oysters with garlic butter. Everything was delicious but the oysters were extra salty. I used my fries to soak up the excess butter and garlic. I was afraid there weren’t going to be enough tables/seats and that the wait would be long for us to receive our food. We only waited about 5 mins after ordering until the food was ready.More

This place practice social distancing when entering the fish market. They only let two customers in a time, which I felt safe. The poke bowl I bought and took home was so satisfying and scrumptious. I will definitely go back if every in the area.

They did observe best practice of social distancing with the way the tables were arranged outside. Also, there was someone constantly cleaning/disinfecting the tables as customers changed. The fish and chips we ordered was good. It is a great place to hangout especially in the...afternoon when the sun is on the other side and so the place is more shaded.More

Not as I remember it's really an informal fish and chip shop with an outside sheltered eating area but the fish was top notch and perfectly cooked the staff polite and friendly. Well worth it!
