We initially came here for the 50 cent oyster Tuesday, but they were out of oysters at the bar so we decided to eat in the restaurant instead. We weren't expecting much but came away incredibly impressed with the food, service and staff. Our server, Melia, was incredibly knowledgeable about the local oysters, the fish preparation and their wine list.... More

Had a fantastic evening with friends at Windows on the Water!! The view, the food, the service and the conversations were all amazing. The Mushroom Risotto, the Peppercorn Steak and the Coconut Cheesecake were standout favorites.. Would recommend to anyone visiting or living in the area..

Let me begin by saying I am biased. I even loved this place when it wasn't "Windows on the Water." My readers know that I try to be objective. But this place has all of the elements of a great restaurant in my estimation. I love the visible working kitchen; the aptly stocked and "womanned" (not manned) bar and the... More

My wife and I celebrated an anniversary in Morro Bay and had a wonderful dining experience at Windows on the Water. We ordered the special of the day [flat iron steak with salad and dessert], with their selected wines to go along with each course. The food was delicious, the wine pairings great and the dessert scrumptious. Our server, Meghan,... More

Do not miss this place when in Morro Bay! Dinner with a great view - very helpful staff - and the food definitely deserves a Michelin star!

Good food - restaurant a little formal for a boisterous family like ours but waitress was absolutely lovely and we had some good wines

Here for our anniversary. The view is unbelievable but the service and food...not so much. Our waitress was more concerned about the table of 14 than us. She never asked how we liked our food ( halibut much better than the ahi) or poured our wine. Don't know if we will come back.

To start with we had a reservation, but were still seated a bit more than 1/2 hour after our reservation. They were busy on a summer Saturday but there were several people that were seated way later than they were expecting. Once seated at our table and looking at the menu I noticed that both of the dinners we were... More

We found through our Hotel that Tuesday night was Oyster(on the half shell) night. There are significantly cheaper than regular price so we headed there around 7:00p.m. There was a 45 minute wait so went downstairs to another bistro and had a glass of Wine while waiting. They called us when our table was ready and our waiter told us... More
