Both my sister and I very much enjoyed our meals at the Gallery. Her scallops were large and delicious presented with a colorful side salad. My halibut on polenta had a perfect sauce. Presentation and garnishes added to our appreciation. Service was excellent and we...loved the views from the far corner table. This is on our definite list to visit next time we are in Morro Bay.More

Great, fresh seafood and wonderful service. Nice wine list and on the water. They don’t take reservations so get there early. Best restaurant in Morro Bay!

The Galley's primary positives are terrific view and fine service. However, They don't take reservations. We two locals arrived at 6 p.m. on a nontourist Thursday and still had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table. We were offered a seat at the...bar (where it took ten minutes to get served), which felt like a bait and switch strategy to sell more alcohol. The Galley has been rated the best restaurant in town. Why would they not take reservations? Then, our table was in a corner, which severely curtailed the view in all directions. Finally, the entree (specifically the naked rockfish) was only mediocre, dry and flavorless, and the condiments didn't help very much, all for quite high prices. (The bread was excellent, through.) I guess the takeaway is, don't get your hopes up too high.More

We stayed overnight in Morro Bay on the way to a wedding. The Galley was next door to our hotel and after cruising the town we decided it looked the best. We were not disappointed. Excellent menu selections, courteous staff, and awesome view. Reservations required!

Best seafood in Morro Bay. Excellent and generous cocktails. Make a reservation and ask to be seated outside. We are very discriminating and this is top drawer all around. Oysters Rockefeller, with fresh spinach, spectacular. Great place.

We were on a time crunch but wanted to grab a quick bite somewhere. Went in and sat at the bar - the table wait was 45 minutes - and glad we did. Had a couple of appetizers and looked out over the water. Very...friendly and competent staff.More

We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 -...3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.More

We had an excellent meal on the patio. The veggies were cooked just right, the shrimp scampi was succulent with a delish herb sauce. The seafood in the seafood pasta was cooked perfectly. Amazing garlic bread! The servers were attentive to the people and to...the very well behaved dogs!More

Ate here twice during our 3 night stay in Morro Bay. The seafood was exceptional, and the clam chowder the best we had anywhere during our tour of the stunning Californian Coast on our Harley Davidsons🏍 Really friendly staff looked after us so well in...this lovely restaurant on the dock side👏👏👏More

Always a great meal. First time back to Morro Bay in a couple years and love the Anderson Inn and the restaurant. Started with the crab cakes which were delicious! We had the filet and filet with shrimp and both meals were very good as...always. See you next time in Morro Bay.More

A great place in an average little town along the coast line. But well worth it with the great scenery of the Morro Rock and the harbor. Service was excellent and super friendly (!!) and the food (Shrimp cocktail, battered squid, Rock Fish) was really...excellent. A must-go when in this area.More

Our fish entrees of $38 each were extremely overpriced. Each order weighed at most only 6 ozs., much too little fish for the price. While the fish tasted fine, there was so little food that we went else wear after dinner for a good desert....(After such a disappointing small, expensive meal, we weren’t about to orders dessert from them.) The fish & chips are not beer-battered fried, so we knew better to order them. We will NEVER go back there and do NOT recommend this restaurant. We were extremely disappointed in tonight’s dinner.More

Yes. And I recommend them. We were right behind a couple who were turned away for not having reservations: we were sure glad we had made ours.
