Casual place for American-Style pizza

There weren’t many options for dinner when we passed through town and when we arrived around 8:20, they didn't seem happy to see us (they close at 9pm). Service was very slow, it took over 30 mins to get our pizza. They were very strict about mask wearing with everyone who came in (good!) except for one guy who apparently everyone knew - he wasn’t wearing a mask, walked around talking loudly and was given a free beer too. The pizza was just ok. the margherita doesn’t have sauce!! Wait, what? Don't call it margherita then. There is a nice outdoor area.

Good Pizza

We returned to our motel later than expected after an all day visit with my elderly mother down in Northridge. After a local seafood restaurant refused our take-out order because they were “too busy” we found Pizza Port. The wait was 45 minutes but it was our best option. We had a Roma pizza. It was delicious and the toppings were generous. Not so much the Caesar Salad, which was tremendously overpriced for what was served. We would definitely order pizza from Pizza Port again, but we’d stick to pizza and skip the salad.

Nice dinner, a bit slow

Wanted an easy dinner on the Saturday we arrived at Morro Bay, and decided to just walk up to this pizza place. They were quite busy - we were able to order and get a table quickly, but were told up front it would be 45 minutes before our food was ready. At first we sat outside in the nice picnic table area, but decided it was a little too cool and moved inside before our food came. I ordered a San Francisco personal pizza and it was very good, really liked the crust. My wife had the goat cheese salad and said it was excellent, very fresh ingredients. Also had a local SLO cider that was really good. Service was fine, low key.

(09.15PM) I was just asking for two pizzas for my two daughters(4&5 years old) who needed dinner before sleep. They kicked me out, telling me the were closed. All of this while the guy behind the counter and in front of me was literally preparing 3 new pizzas (can even tell you the sizes: 1personal 2 larges). The guy at the counter was uncomfortable with kicking me out then a blonde girl came to me and in a rude manner just told me to get some tacos or burgers for my daughters… told her they’re little ones and don’t eat tacos and just needed two pizzas. She insisted to send me at the burger place. I was by foot, so I asked if I could get to the burger place by walk because I had no car. She answered: “I don’t know if you can get there by walk but it’ just a few minutes ride by car”. I can easily say that is the worst place ever to find if you are looking for a human and social interaction. Is the place where I was treated worst in my life, basically like if I was a sh** to get rid of from under their shoes. For a matter of principle I discourage everyone to ever set foot in that place.

Terrific service and Great Pizza!!

Called to have two pizzas delivered to our RV park. They didn’t start delivery for another 90 minutes but when we said we had 7 people coming at 5:15, they promised to make it no later than 5:30 — and they did it!! Yummy pesto pizza and exactly as ordered. A terrific experience and will be our go-to place in the future when we are in Morro Bay!

Hit or miss. I received this pizza on 5/17/24 - it was completely burned (black) on bottom and top was also burned just not as bad. I peeled off two of the top layers from the dough but had to throw the rest away. Completely inedible and should have been re made before leaving the store. I ordered through DoorDash so I only got a $5 refund for NO meal. The owner was Informed with no response back or way to remedy the issue. I would skip this one for sure!

The Best Pizza and Beer in the Central Coast

I am not exaggerating. Besides Ugo's Pizza in Culver City, Pizza port is the best pizza I have tried in California. Thinking about their pizza makes my mouth watering. I love the pesto pizza, and the chicken sandwich pizza. Accompanied by one of the local crafts beers, you will be happier watching the many sea otters walking by the waterfront. Note, call and order your food because it will take a while since this place has many customers.

You May Get Napkins From Another Restaurant.

We were all pizza'd out, so at the end of a long day of sightseeing, we saw Veggie Sandwiches on their menu and were thrilled. Get up to the counter and order the Veggie Sandwiches to be told they're only available at lunchtime. So disappointed! But there was nothing else really open this time of night, so we had to get pizza. Luckily, they had vegan crust and vegan cheese, so winner winner chick'n dinner! They were actually very, very good, so no big loss at all. We had to ask for napkins when the pizza arrived (this is the second time in California a restaurant brought our food to our table with no napkins anywhere in sight; is this a California thing?) and when we asked for some, we were told they were all out of napkins. Okaaay. Then after a couple of minutes, napkins arrived...with another restaurant's logo on them. Did they run next door and swipe the competition's napkins? Don't know, but California, you've got an interesting way of doing business.

STILL crazy good!

We lived in Morro Bay for ten years during the 1980s. Pizza Port was a favorite. Fearing there was no way it would be as good as we remembered, we ordered the Roma today and swooned over its deliciousness. It's STILL the best pizza in town.

Great Pizza

First visit to Pizza Port but will not be our last, this place has home made pizza, with old fashioned hand tossed pizza. Pleanty of eating space inside and out side eating area. The place is decked out with Surfboards. Pizza is GRAET !!!!!

It’s an ok pizza, total nonsense that’s it homemade fresh daily made dough. In the business so know this is processed pre-made. Very expensive for what you get but probably the best local choice. Would we eat here again, NO.

Best Pizza in Morro Bay!

Craving pizza in Morro Bay? Pizza Port is the place to go! Our big family of twelve here, and we enjoyed sharing a few large pizzas. All were quite tasty. Not a single slice was left to take home. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to eat outside in the nice cool weather. Definitely check them out if you are in town.

Are they closed for good?

We have eaten here several times and thoroughly enjoyed the Pizza. We live a couple hundred miles away and only get to Morro Bay a couple times a year. Anyway, we traveled from from our hotel in Cayucos to Morro Bay just to get some of their awesome Pizza. We had googled them and it said they were open, however, when we got there around 8pm on the last Thursday in September the place was dark. So disappointing. We ended up going to one of those chain pizza places, which wasn't nearly as good. I hope they didn't close down like the other pizza place down the street.

Monday night and we had just arrived to Morro Bay. We were directed to this place by our hotel receptionist. It was within walking distance. They have an excellent service. It is well equipped for covid. It follows all the regulations so we felt safe. The pizza was delicious. I would say it always a bit pricy, but we are at the beach after all.

Fresh veggies. Great tasting crust and sauce! We had the Roma Pizza, delicious! Outside space to chill, play bean bag toss. Super clean. Friendly employees too.
