Great little coffee shop. The coffee was excellent as was the baked goods. And the profits go to a good cause. Rescuing dogs.

Walking around town looking for a breakfast spot for a bagel sandwich and coffee. Sandwich had turkey sausage which was good. Ordered the dark roast coffee which was okay thought it would be stronger. Garden was beautiful and great upbeat atmosphere inside.
This was a wonderful coffee shop that allows the dogs inside. They also have a secret garden patio in the back that is just amazing. Their breakfast bagel is huge and so good and satisfying.
I ordered a latte that actually tasted like expresso with milk versus just warm milk. I am not from the area and often go to a big chain coffee shop where the drinks have gotten much more warm milk like than they once were. I...will be back to Top Dog for another latte before I leave townMore
Best carmel latte ever. The place is so cute. They have outside seating in the front and a beautiful garden with lots of tables in the shade and plants and trees. It was so unexpected from the front you would never know the back was...there.More
This is a nice spot with plenty of good intentions from promoting inmate art to championing dog adoptions, but the food lets it down a bit. The two dishes we had for breakfast sounded great on the menu, but came out bland to the point...of being borderline tasteless. If they can work on amping up the flavors it would be much better. The person who took our order was super friendly; she gets five stars.More
Loved the donation to vets and prisoner dog program. Good coffee and breakfast sandwich. Had the egg, bacon, avocado on sourdough, small but filling.
We had a combination of latte, iced coffee, and hot tea drinks during our two night visit to Morro Bay. All were excellent and we liked patronizing this local shop. On our next visit we will definitely drop in for a meal.
The coffee spot and breakfast stop in Morro Bay. The breakfast grilled cheese is great. They put a shot of espresso in with the coffee. Great place. Takeout and order by phone.
Great place for coffee and breakfast. We ate in the patio area which was an extremely relaxing garden setting. Loved the vibe. Friendly barista. We will make it a regular stop when visiting Morro Bay.
I give top dog 5 stars not only for the coffee but more for what this business represents. It is to support various K9 programs for veterans and inmates. Inmates at 2 prisons actually train the dogs for 2 years to be service animals for...vets and first responders with PTSD. It’s a win win for so many disenfranchised people. Please go there for great coffee and pastries, and to support an amazing service.More
We were so happy to find Top Dog on Saturday morning! Yummy coffee and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Friendly service and calm atmosphere:)
It is indeed a wonderful thing when visiting a small to town to discover an excellent Independant coffee house, creating serious cups of coffee and supporting the community. Every barista I met was very serious about their trade, consistently friendly and welcoming. Oh, and the...food was pretty darn good too! Thank you Top Dog for making a difference and for taking coffee so seriously. It is truly appreciated. My only recommendation would be less plastic use. I know using real utensils and plastic cups for water creates a dishwashing issue but all the plastic go right into the landfill. My only criticism (hopefully constructive!)More
Not much is open in the afternoon on Main Street in Morro, especially if the surf is up. However, Top Dog is open until 1700 (5pm) and in addition to coffee they feature K9 support programs as well as military goods drives. The owner is...a huge supporter of assisting men re entering into the community. Waitstaff is smiling and friendly with speedy service. Keep up the great work!! ☕️☕️☕️ Street parking and plenty of seating indoors. Third Thursday of each month is improve story telling, comedy etc.... Very kewl placeMore
This is a really nice little coffee shop with good coffee, house-baked cookies, and other baked goods. We didn’t try the sandwiches but there is a varied menu. We loved having coffee in the peaceful garden area out back. The place is dog-friendly and I...liked that a portion of proceeds goes for training service dogs for veterans.More
