This is the best Mexican Food I've ever had! The carve Asada quesadilla was topped with sour cream and queso cotija! The torta de milanesa is superb! I just tell them no spicy because the chilies they use are super spicy for my taste! I can't handle any spice! Definitely in a very poor area of town and the place... More

SABOR A MEXICO DEFEÑO (for those who don't know Spanish is Mexico City Flavor)!! Picture this people... if you are melancholic about your land, in this case central Mexico (A.K.A. El D.F.) and wanna try a good Taco de Fritanga, a Pambazo, Champurrado, this is the place, this place looks like a little Fonda, the inner restaurant area is small,... More

The best tasting Mexican food around this area. With Mexican cuisine, we can sometimes taste the oil or lard, not the case in this restaurant. Small in space, but huge in flavor!

This place is the real deal and awesome. The cheese enchiladas with green sauce were fantastic. Homemade corn tortillas made the dish. 5 enchiladas come to a plate, no rice or beans, just fantastic enchiladas. Quesadillas are different that what we are used to, but are fantastic. Large homemade corn tortilla folded in half like a large taco. Delicious. Plates... More

Excellent Mexican food. The tamales were just on point! The horcahata was good. They have Mexican sodas and the food is real Mexican. The enchiladas were just like back home!

As a boy of the suburbs I have no right to call this authentic, but I’m going to say it anyway: This is how I would imagine great street foods would be south of the border. We were in the area and I trusted trip advisors rating when the Christmas Tamale craving hit. I hoped it would be good and... More

Hands down the best muendo across the border. Also the most flavored and tender carne asada. Let me not forget the horchata is delicious!!!

Half the mexican restaraunts are described as "authentic". That means I need to come up with another way to describe this place. Having traveled in Mexico, my family found the best descrition to be "authentic-squared". My wife is hunting down all potential sources of huitlacoche (a mexican corn truffle) and this little place came up on our food radar. The... More

I've discovered a treasure, I thought I knew Mexican food when I ate asada tacos or burritos, but I've found out that what I've been eating all these years is just a bad imitation of authentic Mexican food. At D.F. Tamales, I've enjoyed that "sazon Chilango", as they call it (this means the flavor from Mexico City). I've eaten the... More

You might have grown up eating hard shell tacos filled with ground beef, but that does not mean what many places currently pass off as Mexican food (burritos) in the USA is not even close to the real thing. Most Mexican places cater to the Mexican-American and while that it not a bad thing, it is hardly authentic compared to... More
