I'v been eating here for several years and have never been disappointed in their traditional roasted Peking Duck. With the perfectly crispy skin and delicious meat separated and served with pancakes, scallions, and cucumbers and Peking sauce, this dish is a hit every single time. And, you know it's fresh as they require you to order at least 1 hour... More

We came to this famous Duck House(鹿鼎記) for a small–scaled reunion dinner. We ordered two $328 set meals (each has 10 dishes) for 18 of us for dinner. The restaurant accommodated a large separate room for us. These are the main dishes we had: Appetizer Combo Platter (四喜拼盤); Peking Duck (北京烤鴨); Taiwanese style BBQ Eel on Sticky Rice (鰻魚米糕, $29);... Make sure to pre-order your duck. This sounds ridiculous to me, especially since it is called Duck House but whatever. We got the traditional style - thin pancakes, sliced duck, hoisin sauce, scallions and cucumber slivers. We got about 7 pancakes and when we asked for more the waiter gave us a hard time. Apparently the order comes with an... More

My wife and I came with another couple and we had a very enjoyable experience. We came on Saturday night during the Valentine's weekend so if you didn't make reservations you were turned away. Don't know if that's what usually happens on Saturday night but I would recommend making reservations for a Friday or Saturday night. In addition you have... More

Spur of the moment, 8 of us getting together for a San Gabriel Valley food and wine evening on January 2nd to welcome in 2016. Our friend got us into The Duck House, and 45 minutes later we assembled. The staff were hospitable and friendly as I remembered from a past visit, with excellent service (they served us each dish in... More

My best friend introduced me to Lu Din Gee (almost 10 years ago) when it was located on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel, CA. The menu favors northern Chinese with a modern flair. Since then, it has moved to its current location & rebranded as "Duck House" (I prefer its original name "Lu Din Gee"). This is my 5th visit... More

The food here was quiet a treat. There are basically two menus. One is gourmet, filled with interesting sounding speciality high priced dishes and the other more basic and more modestly priced. (If you want their signature Peking duck, you have to call and order at least an hour ahead.) We choose the latter and were delighted with each of... More

We follow protocol and make a reservation at the restaurant, for 2 on a Monday night?! And I reserve the duck. We arrive only to get seated right by the back entrance, where they store their trash & dirty dishes. Thank God that the utilitarian green can lined with the 20 gallon black bag was not full. We did have... More

I really like this place. It is kinda expensive. Unfortunately, my parents do not enjoy eating here and I do not think my ABC friends like this place too so unfortunately, i will not be back.

Mouth-Watering, Tasty Roasted Peking Duck in 3 ways eating. Everyone in the party enjoy the Crispy Roasted Peking Duck with Pancakes, Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts with Duck Meats, and specially love the Fresh Duck Bone Soup. Their Roasted Peking Duck is prepared totally different from those served at Cantonese seafood restaurants. The only negative is price of their 3 ways eating... More
