Have been going to brunch at Luminarias for special occasions since the late 70's. What I enjoy is the variety of foods offered, not always the same. Of course traditional Mexican food, American options, seafood, Italian pastas, and every variety of desserts. Not a sweet eater but tried the Bananas Foster. Amazing! Service great, not chintzy with champagne, Mariachi's entertaining,... More

I officiated a wedding at this venue. Beautiful outdoor space with firepits. Private space great for photos. Great views. The Ballroom BuenaVista Room fantastic beautiful white room with a stunning chandelier and fabric draped with twinkling lights.

I had high hopes going in because of the ambiance, transporting you momentarily to mexico. But as the food was served, it was all downhill. the appetizers was so so, the soup acceptable, but the mains was not even palatable. Eat at your nearest mexican restaurant and I am definite that you will eat better.

Plan to arrive before sun sent and request for a window table, or if available, you can sea at the patio - sometimes reserved for large parties. The restaurant is located at a hill so the view is good. The restaurant offers valet parking and self parking; you may want to consider using the valet parking since the self parking... More

Luminarias is a restaurant on a hill. The place evokes old Mexican charm. Exquisite dining experience. Delectable food. Great fine dining experience!

It has been years since I'd been here and the updates are beautiful. The large, traditional decor is awesome as are the food and drinks. The servers were very attentive and friendly, making our family lunch all the more pleasant. Great location and outdoor seating, plenty of parking.

We have been here many times over the years for Father's Day & Mother's Day brunch as well as for Sunday brunch, lunch, dinner and various functions and celebrations with each being a positive experience, that is until now. The brunch this Father's Day was mediocre at best, the best thing about the food were the Waffles, Menudo, hand made... More

Really spectacular restaurant with lots of facility for groups and also nice outdoor dinning, with a great view. .Unfortunately the food doesn't compare to the physical environment.

The waiter was attentive warranted the 20% we left. Food was good, jumbo shrimp in an excellent Diablo sauce w grilled vegs, fiesta appetizer very ample for 2-3, good carnitas. Prices on the high end of reasonable for the service , ambiance and quality. An LA icon better known for Latino themed parties, wedding receptions etc.

The restaurant offers you a variety of authenic flavors from several parts of Mexico. You name it, it's there. The Sunday brunch has everything that a brunch lover wants, including prime rib, shrimps, oysters on the half shell, and crab legs. Oh, don't forget the all you can drink champagne. But, the best part of the entire experience was the... More
