Seating outside or inside. I had the leeward lemon drop (has raspberry in it)...it was delicious. I followed up with a regular lemon drop...not as good as the other, lacked pizazz. But the leeward lemon drop was awesome. Hubby had a giant IPA. Service wasn't great, but they were packed to be fair. I would still return. The view was... More

Service was wonderful and the food was amazing. Chilly nights but with the heaters, we were comfortable.

We came for a late lunch. Food was good, servers were friendly, but things were slow. Plates were not brought for a shared appetizer until we asked. We had paella, seafood salad, service and all was fresh. The umbrellas for the tables could be bigger.

The food, the view, the service, what's not to love. My husband had the muscles which were wonderful. I had the crab legs which were not huge but delicious. The creamed spinach was not overly creamy which made it not so heavy and perfect to my liking. Inside or outside dining. A great experience.

We had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly. The view is right over the ocean and we were there at 5:30, so we could watch the sunset. It's a great choice for a special night out.

We stopped here for lunch. Waited 25 min & when I questioned the young ladies we had obviously been overlooked. I forgive them after the fabulous food we had. I also forgive the waiter for forgetting to bring us the bread or whatever it was that every other table received. The lunch we had was delicious. My sangria was the... More

We were staying at the Monterey Plaza Hotel (fabulous) and decided on a meal in the Schooner Restaurant on our first night. We'd made a reservation and got a decent table near the front of the room. Service was good. The shared seafood platter was excellent with spanking fresh oysters and clams, crab and the like. Mains were good as... More

I was working in Monterey for the week and the first place a colleague and I dined was at Schooners. I had the seafood salad with a balsamic dressing and it was amazing. Our server was Nicole and she was awesome! She urged me to return the next morning for breakfast, which I did. I had the steak and eggs... More

You pay for the view when you come here, that being said, it's totally worth it. This place is beautiful. The food is good, it's not great but it's good and the seafood is fresh. Sunset at this place is stunning.

We booked on line but it didn't work but they fitted us in in a comfortable booth with views out to see. We had prawns to start - excellent. I had a Panfried sole and the blond sea food linguine both were good, we drank a bottle of Monterey Sauvignon Blanc.we shared a baked Alaska for desert. The service was... More
