Our server, Rolend, was extraordinary. The clam chowder and fish tacos were fantastic. The restaurant is connected to a beautiful hotel, with terrific views. It is not cheap but the food and service were worth it. The ambiance is quiet, so if you are looking for a raucous venue, this place is not for you.

My husband and I are enjoying celebrating our 26 th anniversary in Monterey. Not only was the food excellent ( Ma's chicken) but to our utter delight the baked Alaska was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Best ever- I'm picky. Shout out to the pastry chef Estelle- try it, don't miss it, the presentation is out of this world. Server Lorinda... More

My husband and I were underwhelmed by the food. The waiter belonged in McDonalds. The only redeeming quality was the ocean view.

Excellent service, food, drinks, and food! During this visit, we saw a whale breach the water outside our window. Service is top-notch. I bought granola by the pound to bring home with me so I can enjoy a little Schooners in Indiana.

We had lunch at this restaurant during our stay. Sand dabs and sea bass tacos, both were delicious. The service was good, we sat outside on the deck, beautiful view.

We have been in Schooners on 24th of Oct. Monterey was the stop of choice on our way to San Feancisco. The restaurant is modern with tables in and outside. It's directly at the coast so you can have a look at the pacific ocean. It's very quiet because it's lower than the streets. Prices are moderate and food very... More

Nice place to enjoy the bay and have a good meal. If you can sit out on the patio do so. Get there early to get a table with a good view. We were sat in the back both nights we ate there but still enjoyed the atmosphere and bay view. Had to send my vodka gimlet back as it... More

Monterey offers many great restaurants and this is certainly one. The menu offered a good variety of seafood dishes. The best assets are the views and the staff. The tuna tacos weren't that great but other fish entrees were delicious.

Thank Trish W
