Had a wonderfully cooked and superbly tender Filet Mignon whilst dining here, yes it is a fish restaurant and my companions around me oozed their delight at their oceanic delights, but being a "fussy" eater, this place hit the mark for me - as did...the cocktails. A truly great steak!More

We stopped for lunch on a hot October day and decided to order the Mackerel Fish & Chips. The fish was breaded and fried to perfection -- it was delicious. The salad was okay (cabbage + mango + pineapple, with a dressing), and the fries...were, well..., just fries. I found the place to be a bit pricey: this meal (plus iced tea) totaled $42, which is why I took off a star. The view of the bay is great (today kelp collectors were pulling kelp into their small boat, to be given to the aquarium).More

In Cannery Row a few weeks back. Recommend calling ahead and checking for traffic delays as there was a BLM protest going on same weekend we were there. Used GPS to get around traffic jammed streets heading into Cannery Row. GPS saved a significant amount...time as we avoided sitting in traffic jam. My brother paid $20 for all day parking in Cannery Row. Although convenient for a family say with little ones, strollers etc., if you're only there a few hours like us, street parking with meters is the way to go. It could save you $16. The restaurants had long wait for outdoor seating only. While waiting for a table at The Fish Hopper I spotted their to go counter. I placed an order which was ready in less than 20 min. This option worked out better than planned. Less expensive than restaurant menu, food already prepped to go, so found nice spot to sit and eat, avoiding hour and a half long wait for table, no waiters, or crowded restaurant seating area. Not a bad deal, in all a good trip.More

Delicious food. Beautiful views. Quick service. And tasty refreshing drinks to boot. We recommend making a reservation online beforehand. We went on a Friday with a 4:30 reservation and were able to get in at 4 just having gotten off the boat from whale watching...at the Wharf.More

We had to wait about 1 hour to get a table late at night. The location is on the water. Our waiter was very nice but the lobster dinner was not only expensive but a disappointment.

We very much enjoyed our lunch at Fish Hopper Restaurant. We made our reservations on open table. We were seated at a table with an awesome view of Monterey Bay. We enjoyed cocktails and beer with our lunch. They serve complementary rolls. I had cup...of clam chowder, and their lobster/shrimp sandwich which came with fries and salad. My husband enjoyed his seafood salad. We shared a piece of berry cake for dessert. Service was very good.More

Excellent service, great view (thanks to restaurant taking advantage of outdoor space during Covid-19 times) and fresh, delicious seafood and shellfish all at reasonable pricing. The kitchen definitely knows how to serve seafood. I highly recommend- they could have been a tourist trap - instead...they are a tourist delight.More

Yes, do call the restaurant and ask or check their website. I am only a one time customer who enjoyed it back in October.
