I / We have always eaten here, for years, every time that we have visited Monterey - for years ' and have never been disappointed by either the foods or the service ... and trust that others would enjoy it just as well. One significant thing to bear in mind, although food is indeed good, the portions are usually quite... More

My husband and I had a great breakfast at Rosine's on a recent Sunday morning. It's a large, sunny, attractive space with great food and excellent service. The menu is varied, the pastries are divine, and if we'd had enough time, we'd have returned for lunch too! It looked to be a very popular place at dinnertime as well. I... More

If you get to Monterey, you must go to Rosine's. The Sunday brunch special Crab Avocado Benedict is the best thing you will ever eat! Of course, there are other wonderful items on the menu, but this is outstanding! The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Highly recommended.

I went twice during a recent visit to the Monterey Peninsula. First time I had the hot beef sandwich which I probably not eaten since I was a little kid. It was served on whole wheat bread with plenty of sliced beef and covered in gravy. The gravy was homemade, not from a mix and while good was a little... More

Walked past Rosines on a few occasions when walking to/from town, but eventually stopped at this lovely restaurant on our last evening and what a place. Service was superb and couldn't have been more helpful, whilst the food was outstanding - note to all though, only choose the full rack of ribs if you haven't eaten for days as its... More

Four of us visited one evening for dinner. It was very busy but we were seated within a few minutes. Our server was pleasent and took our order. I ordered a calamari salad. When our meal arrived although the other three meals were fine, mine salad was chicken instead of the calamari. The server took it away and several minutes... More

This restaurant is in the middle of "Old Town" Monterey. It's a good place to have lunch if you're exploring the area. Lunch offerings are principally sandwiches and pastas, we opted for the latter. My wife had pasta with one meatball, I had the tortellini. We both had a glass of wine. We were very happy with the food and... More

Staying in Monterey for nights and have just eaten here for the second time. Food excellent and huge portions - we would have loved to try one of the cakes but couldn't manage it! Staff really friendly - busy both nights so this place is definitely doing something right!! Will recommend to anyone we know who is visiting here.

The first thing that hits you when you enter are the size and variety of the cakes on display they are huge and so is the portion size if you can manage one after a meal, or do as we did get a box and take one home. We had breakfast here for all three days,as it was so good... More
