The cottage pie was to die for. Very filling. Make sure to save room for dessert. The sticky pudding is a must. Reservations are excepted and I highly recommend them. Great local place with an awesome selection.

Had the prime rib. Very fatty, which is to be expected, but good flavor. The baked potato was a bit lackluster, but roasted Brussels sprouts were very good. Service was lightning fast. Cool underground London feel.

Probably my favorite restaurant in downtown Monterey. Really fun ambiance as you're carried away to a different environment. Excellent menu with food prepared as good as it gets. Great comfort food with healthy proportions. Excellent for lunch and for dinner. It's always a genuine treat to go there when I'm downtown. On occasion we get to chat with the owner,... More

Great traditional pub food and great bar!! The owners were mingling about telling jokes and helping staff. Made us feel we were in England at a classy pub.

Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, great bowl of clam chowder and yummy piece of bread for under $10.00. Would definitely eat here again on a return trip to Monterey. Within walking distance of hotels. Very good

Very cool place. Food was good and service was quick. People are friendly. They make good and strong drinks. There decor is very UK and if you have ever been there memories will come back of you trip there. Place gets busy around 10pm very crowded. Service is just as good though. We really enjoyed our stay there. Hope you... More

We stopped here for a drink and appetizers and stayed for dinner instead. The meatloaf is a generous portion. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection. The crab and shrimp melt contained seafood and not filler. Service was spot on. The bar area is bit noisy though. The highlight was the sticky toffee pudding which is generous enough to... More

We arrived to Crown & Anchor as a group of twelve hungry people with no reservations and they accommodated us without batting a eyelid. Although most of us ordered beers, those that ordered cocktails – they had seasonal specials based on Moscow Mules – reported they were delicious. All the food was very tasty. It was good, solid pub food.... More

Cool place to go if you are looking for British fare and a good beer selection on tap. Lots of locals so the conversation is informative. Outdoor seating available. Gets busy and loud at night if you are into that. Good clam chowder and blackened fish sandwich (my go to there).
