This is a family owned and run joint, a favorite or families and little league teams, as well as folks picking up to go orders. I usually get a mini pizza (4 large pieces, which is plenty for me), a small caesar salad, and some out of this world raspberry gelato. Decent prices, and if you want to watch them... More

We got a Pepperoni Pizza to go, it was very good. From the looks of the inside it reminded me of some of the Italian restaurants from growing up in upstate NY. Red checkered table cloths, etc. Can't say much about the dining experience, but from a take out stand point. The pizza was very good. If I lived there... More

Locally owned and operated, this is an institution in Monterey. There is no better pizza in Monterey, from my personal perspective.Great value/size for the money too. Some nights you will see entire little league baseball teams in there after games. Great for kids, yet there's a bar for adults (small one, 8 stools?) on one side of the large room.... More

Whoa....lots of dough, which is a bummer because there is nothing better than a well balanced pizza. I prefer to have less dough and every bite is little dough, sauce, and cheese. The salad was fresh and the blue cheese dressing was nummy. I went to the bar to have a beer whilst I waited for the pie to go.... More

Nice Italian that isn't a tourist trap, lots of locals were coming in and out. Disappointing lasagne, so much cheese and not enough meat. My husband's pasta dish was a lot better. The garlic bread is so garlic-y and greasy it was difficult to eat.

Been here many times....never bad food!!! It does get very busy, but it's worth the wait. Reasonable prices, full bar. I recommend the lasagna. Their garlic bread is good too. Good selection of gelato as well. This is not a white table cloth type of place...I'm only judging them on their food!

We've been going to Gianni's on and off for thirty years. It was a favorite when our kids were young and we still love it now that we are empty nesters. The pizza is fresh with quality ingredients. The place is packed most nights and you can see why.

Our family was in town visiting. The food was quite good and was a good value I thought. I overestimated the size of the pizzas and could have ordered a smaller pizza for our family of four. Quite a line ready to order when we left.

We arrived late and got a large pizza for 4 persons. It was a LOT of pizza for the price and very good. Would stop here again. Good value for the $$.

While I only wanted a meatball hero to go - the line to order was at least 10 people and no manager to jump in a help - by the time I got to order they ran out of meatballs so I order a veggie pie which took over 40 minutes to get to me at a take out yet... More
