Went here on a Tuesday night and almost left as we were one of just two tables. However so glad we stayed! Cocktails were great. Wine was reasonably priced. Sea bass was excellent. NY strip was very good. Service was wonderful. NOT cheap but good.

What an unforgettable dining experience! C Restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel is everything fine dining should be. From the gracious host who led us to our table to our fantastic server Socrates, the service was impeccable. Despite booking just two hours in advance, we secured...a table with breathtaking waterfront views - the perfect perch for people watching. Socrates was attentive, friendly, and truly aimed to please. His suggestions steered us to some fabulous options. The cuisine shined with sophisticated execution. The swordfish entrée paired beautifully with the side of asparagus. My favorite was the fried calamari appetizer, elegantly served with fried lemon slices. The wine list offers excellent draft options better for the environment - we enjoyed the smooth half-liter of Malbec. Around 7pm, a talented guitarist began playing familiar hits to enthusiastic applause after each song. His music perfectly complemented the ambiance. Even small touches like the historical cannery labels adorning the walls (also incorporated into staff uniform buttons) underscored the care put into the dining experience. Both the manager and another server Anthony offered warm goodbyes as we departed. In our chaotic world, it's inspiring to find first-class dining experiences like C Restaurant that hit all the right notes - gracious service, delicious food, and ambiance. I'll certainly be back soon, if just to see the wonderful staff again!More

Lovely restaurant with fabulous waiting staff. We went Friday night and there was a guitarist, no singing, and it was v pleasant and created an upbeat atmosphere. Lovely views over the bay. The food was generous and v tasty. I had prawn cocktail which was...big tasty and sumptuous prawns!! The main of duck was a little bit tasteless for duck but the accompaniments made up for it. Huckleberry sauce was lovely. My husband had ceviche and pasta which was also good. I think the wine is quite expensive but there is a ‘tap’ option. Although very good!!!!More

What an incredible meal at the C Restaurant. Every course was done to perfection and we had an amazing time. For starter, the burrata special was exceptionally good - served with very fresh side ingredients. The oysters were also good. For mains - the very...high standard continued, with a great Filet Mignon (although it did have to be sent back to be cooked more medium - the request), a good swordfish, and a nice chicken, however the highlight had to be the duck breast. The flavour combined with the pancetta, the puree, the Brussels sprouts and the huckleberry made for one of the best courses in a long time. Would highly recommend. For dessert, the cheeseboard had a wide variety, and the brioche-based dessert - a chef special, was done very well. The food was consistently outstanding, and dietary requirements - specifically gluten, were cared for well, with some great substitutes. Our server, Anthony was exceptionally good - with a vast knowledge of the menu and wine list; very impressive. He was attentive, friendly and talkative : a model professional, and our best waiter on our USA trip. Food was served at a good pace, quick - but not too quick that we couldn’t enjoy the experience. We could not recommend this highly enough. Thank you the C Restaurant for a great meal.More

Great meal, fresh seafood and vegetables. Nice family meal With our 5 year old. Serve was great and food amazing. My 5 year old is picky and loves the fresh organic peas. Food presentation was perfect and we had a nice ocean view.

We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast here 3 days in a row. We both tried different things each day and every single entree was delicious and fresh. We tried both varieties of eggs Benedict, the omelet, the Belgian waffles, the classic 2 egg...breakfast and the breakfast burritos.More

Welcome was fine. Restaurant interior is simple and elegant. Acoustics are good. Canned music was sometimes annoying, when only a mechanical bass-line could be heard monotonously. Service was fine. Sourdough bread, subtly flavored with rosemary, was very good. I chose the calamari for an appetizer,...which was delicious, although the portion was too large. My dining companion had a tasty green salad, with notably fresh ingredients. My entree--the White Corn Ravioli--was surprisingly bland. My dining companion's entree--the free range chicken--was nicely cooked but too heavily seasoned. The wild mushroom risotto and grilled kale served with it were fine but could not counterbalance the overly seasoned chicken. We were too sated to try any of the creative desserts, which all looked too heavy. (Our dining preference is the classic French concept of the suite, in which each course--due to the seasonings and the portions served--are individually satisfying but leave one looking forward to the next course. Chacun a son gout.) At the outset of the meal, a server asked if we would like sparkling water or still (i.e. tap) water with our meal. We chose still. From the bill, we learned that the still (i.e. tap) water cost us $12.50. That epitomized how the entire meal was not good value for the money. Valet parking was free, with the parking receipt stamped in the restaurant.More

The food was AMAZING and you cant beat the view. Our waiter was very nice and helpful in suggesting items that were fabulous! We had the special of the day which was Chilean Sea Bass and it was to die for. We also had the...Ceviche which was very very good as well. We also ordered the Wedge salad but we were not impressed with it at all. It was very tiny and we prefer the traditional Blue Cheese versus what they served. Prices were very high but it was a treat for us because of a birthday. Very very expensive.More

We had a superb dinner at the C restaurant. The prawn and Dungeness crab with pappardelle was delicious as was the breast of duck with Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. The service was friendly and efficient and to cap it all, we saw a pod of...humpback whales in Monterey Bay from our window table.More

We had a lovely breakfast here with outstanding service and some of the best views in Monterey. The food was great - fresh, local, and delicious. And, the service was the best we had during our trip. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet with nice decorations/design...complimented by the full windows. The view included sea otters, seals, dolphins, and a humpback whale. And, outside and below the restaurant on their deck is an easy to see tide pool with lots of wildlife.More

My husband loved his breakfast. The sourdough bread was legitimate and that was nice. But my omelet was way overcooked and tough though the hash browns were good. Coffee was extremely strong (could tell it was the Nespresso made coffee which is not for everyone)....For me it was undrinkable. The noise of the machine was also overwhelming while trying to have a quiet breakfast.More

Was pretty good) w/ berries on the side- super fresh. Cappuccino was tiny but...good. Halfway through meal, saw something in the corner of my eye... whales!More
