It was like being in France, but the people were nicer. Food is excellent. Usually there are not a lot of dishes, but the ones that are offered are quite good. French wine is unusually good. Bordeaux was one of the best I have tasted.

French-style regional cooking from Europe in roughly the France-Northern Italy area are served with elegance and a family bistro ambiance. One of he best meals we have had anywhere. Limited menu of things done well, and a good wine list. Prices are reasonable for this quality.

Carefully prepared, subtly seasoned food, beautifully plated. Vegetables cooked perfectly. We both had the special of the night- pork loin, which was moist and redolent of herbs. Prices are laughably low for the quality. The dark chocolate mousse was sublime; the profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate sauce ran a close second. Wines run moderate to high in price. Small place, charming, French food (duh) and very good at that. Not French speaking staff which is always a flag. The duck, gnocchis and osso buco were all very good. Wine reasonably priced

There's few times that I have enjoyed French food tonight's dinner was one of the most memorable experience the small bistro was busy and the wonderful atmosphere and the best pate escargot sea food chowder had taken me back in time when I was living in Paris.

I searched for a quiet & more intimate type of restaurant and found it here. I was half expecting to see Ina & Jeffrey at the table next to us. The menu is selective, but what they have is what we love. Good wine and started with the appetizer plate ( roasted beets, olives, Marconi almonds, etc) and hubs got... More

Bistro Moulin gets the 5 rating because our meal there (we both had beef cannelloni, which was tender and also garlicky/truffley, and came with excellent tomato vodka sauce) was delicious, and the restaurant was pleasant with very nice staff. The only thing I would say is with spaghetti and cannelloni on the menu, it came across as Italian as much... More

Very popular. Short walk from Monterey Aquarium and Intercontinental hotel. Menu well conceived. Excellent French Onion soup, great cannelloni and steamed muscles in wine. Very extensive wine selection. Restaurant is very compact, tables are small and the result is a that it feels very crowded and can get noisy. Service was attentive but not special. excellent espresso coffee.

This restaurant was near my hotel at the Clement and squeezed me in for a last minute dinner reservation on a Saturday, which I greatly appreciated. They were very welcoming and the service was great. It has a charming French bistro atmosphere. The server recommended a delicious local Pinot noir called Joyce from the region. It paired perfectly with my... More

We visited here for the first time recently. It's a cute little place, "bistro" pretty much sums up its atmosphere. What really shines though is the food. Incroyable! I had their signature Gnocchi dish - little clouds of goodness surrounded by heaven's own white wine/parmesan cream sauce. I wanted pick up my dish and lick it. It was that good.... More
