We did take-out, and it was still one of the best sushi places we’ve ever been to. Was ready in 25 min, wait to pick up food once we arrived was quick and the food was still hot when we ate it, we did eat...it in our car.... but still. Fantastic sushi. Will come again. Forgot to take a pic because it was just so good.More

Stopped in for dinner during a conference in Monterey. I am a bit of a sushi snob so was not expecting much, but it definitely exceeded my expectation. great fresh tasting

We currently live in San Jose but are members of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Whenever we are in Monterey this is our go-to lunch spot. They have a fantastic lunch bento box! Their sashimi is good but their rolls are better. The miso soup is...also really good. Plus they have real wasabi for $1, definitely try it! The only thing that didn't really wow us was the tempura. It's not bad but we like their rolls a lot more.More

I make it a point to stop here EVERYTIME I come to Monterey. The staff are friendly and the food is top quality. They never disappoint.

We came here on the Thursday night before Valentine's. They were busy but also very good about turning over tables so that there really wasn't a wait for a table. It's very good sushi, but it wasn't the best sushi we've had in the area....For example, the unagi sushi we had was good but not enough of the sauce put on. Same with the salmon skin hand roll, it was dry, not enough sauce. The tuna and unagi tasted good, and we were satisfied with the meal in general, as we were craving sushi. However, we will not come back there.More

The tempura plate was greasy and they seemed to use left over sushi fish with tempura batter. It tasted stale and gave me heartburn which I later upchucked. The Katsune udon was very skimpy. The sushi was also stale tasting. The miso soup was fine....A huge clue should have been that there were no Japanese chefs or customers. The decor looked nice and touristy. My usual Japanese as restaurant was closed which is why we gave it a try. Now I know better. I had to ask for grated daikon for the tempura dipping sauce which should have been an automatic for any Japanese restaurant.More

The wife and I wandered in here for dinner! Literally found it by walking by it! The best meal of our recent trip! The food was outstanding! The service fantastic! Prices were very, very reasonable! A fantastic value and experience!

Sushi is super delicious and staff was quick and helpful. The restaurant is down to earth with nothing fancy. The food speaks for it self.

First time experience here...to compare to my favorite Restaurants in Monterey County. Fresh culinary selections. Good service and nice experience.

Great Japanese food and good portions. Fish was very fresh and everything was great. Casual atmosphere and seems they are usually busy as the service was fast and friendly. Ran out of time to get back for another meal but will return next time.
