I love this place. The food is great, it always feels like a special occasion and the views are to die for. Bring sunglasses because as the sun sets, it will get in your eyes. The view and meal is very relaxing.

I was in San Francisco for a week and was incredibly excited when I found La Costanera online. I spent two summers in Peru and became very fond of pisco sours and papa a la huancaina. I ordered Papa a la Huancaina, Causa and Gnocchi. They forgot to bring the Causa, though I wasn't terribly upset as I had ordered... More

A recommendation by our B&B and it was worth it. They also suggested making a reservation, again it was worth it. A very busy restaurant. We had never had Peruvian food before, so we're looking forward to something new. We opted for four appetizers and two desserts. $104 including tip. Just so as you know what you're in for. Now... There's no doubt about the fact that this restaurant has maintained a great standard of cuisine for several years now, although the menu hasn't really evolved much at all. However, we have visited a couple of times in the past month and been surprised, and disappointed, by three things that seem to reflect a loss of interest by management in... More

This is really a great place: Very nice restaurant / Bar extremely well positioned on the top of the beach... The sunset is incredible from there.. You can also sit outside by a fire pit to admire the view + surfers while drinking a nice Peruvian cocktail. Highly recommend!!

Their "specialty" Seafood Paella was fair at best. Patrons served such highly seasoned and highly priced food should not have to individually ask for water served in 6 ounce glasses. The restaurant manager had an attitude which did not go well with me. I paid over $500.00 for our party of seven. (We did not buy any wine.). The 20%... More

This is a favorite go-to spot for just about every occasion, including just hanging out. Love the delicious, intricate dishes; the comfort-food stand bys (I am looking at you mac and cheese and Taquenos); the Pisco Sours; the amazing, description-defying views; the fabulous lounge with window-side chaise lounges; and the friendly staff. I am distressed about the loss of the... More

View of the Ocean , the waves and the fantastic sunset are right there as the rear of the restaurant is ALL Glass. While the Sun sets into the Ocean you dine on very unique dishes . Peruvian food has so much flavor and the small plates are just amazing. We all actually preferred the small plates to the main... More

Make sure to get a table if you are in the area. One of the best restaurant south of SF. Gorgeous views of the ocean but they don't just rest on that. The food is phenomenal and the cocktails are fantastic.

Went there at 8:40pm with my wife, host told us to go down(lounge) because upstairs was "closed or only reservations" when only 4 tables were occupied. Went down to "lounge" waiter told us bar will close in 5min so we left. Obviously either didn't want to work or don't care, I guess both. O well..their lost.
