What a great night meeting up with 2 dear friends I don’t see often enough, especially now. But we picked this place as it was a central location for our group. Gorgeous night. They had a very small outdoor patio already and added in two...large tents with tables and fans and some live music which was such a treat. All of our meals were fantastic... Jerusalem chicken, the special (steak/blue cheese) and the raviolis. Everyone loved their meals... no complaints at all. They have normally a fabulous salad bar but of course can’t do that right now, but they bring you a check off sheet and they do it for you. Our server, (Cheyenne), hands down, made me the best salad I have ever had, it was HUGE for a side salad! You can also pick fresh fruits, and sides like Mac spaghetti or potato front the salad bar and those she even put in a separate plate from the Greek salad. And it was just made so well, plus the prices were super reasonable. It alone could be a whole meal! She was super busy and running to take care of all her tables. But she was on it with refills, delivering hot food and extra whatever we needed, no reservations so you do have to wait, we got there at 5:30 and waited about 15-20 m? Though there was a decent line behind us for a Saturday night. It’s also a venue for concerts (which I saw Amy Grant there a few years ago, also amazing!). It’s gorgeous location feels like your out in the country a bit, dark sky and stars and no bright city lights, very peaceful. A great evening. Highly recommend!! ** PS: ask chickens and baby chicks running around on the property ... I think maybe we saw a few more than one normally would as the sun set and they were coming in to roost ? Maybe not for everyone but for sure it added to the peaceful, fun, relaxed calm country night feelMore

This place is a diamond in the rough. On our way out of Yosemite, our gps took us the back way and we stumbled on this place by accident for breakfast. All of their food is fresh and delicious! Their fruit was out of this...world! If you are in the area, give it a shot. The service was outstanding as wellMore

This is one of those I should have known better instances. I took my Valentine to The Fruit Yard for the Valentines Day Buffet without a reservation. The wait to be seated was 45 minutes. We were seated in a small upstairs dining room and...the buffet was downstairs. The remainder of the meal was excellent. Most buffets are loaded with low cost food, to fill you up, and a few really good items. Everything in this buffet was very good with very little cheap stuff. Let’s see if I can remember everything we ate: pineapple, cantaloupe, peel and eat shrimp, lamb chops, beef medallions, stuffed chicken, turkey, prime rib, and a dessert bar to die for. I made three trips to the dessert bar because everything looked and tasted so good. I did not avoid the salad bar but that was because I started with main dishes. I did avoid the crab because I did not want to work that had for my food. We will return to The Fruit Yard for the Tuesday Buffet before heading over to John Thurmond Field to catch a minor league baseball game.More

The prime rib dinner my sister had was excellent. The meat was tender and the vegetables were perfect. She let me have some of it, since the lunch we had with the tour group had been ordered by someone at the tour company, and we...were given a set meal with no choices. Our lunch was a huge disappointment to me, since I had seen the menu on the internet. My sister had met the tour group I was with at the restaurant. Since she lives in Modesto and has eaten at this restaurant a lot, she knew what was good.More

Grabbed a couple of sandwiches and drinks and headed out to the tables near the pond with the ducks. Great food, a beautiful day and the animals were entertaining. This place brings me peace.

So, we were escorted to what seemed to be a promising breakfast, but mistaken as we entered in the no-mans-land area in the restaurant. I say that because no one else was surrounding us except four or five empty tables and a silverware kiosk. The...table was dirty as the crumbs were crushed by our virgin elbows as we leaned in to discuss the fact. A waitress appeared out of no where as we asked for coffee and water and the table to be wiped. She brought the water and coffee only layed the glasses to rest on the dirty table. I asked if she could remove the clean glasses and coffee mugs as I was able to eye a bus boy and have him wash the table before she had a chance to lay them down again. Finally the table had been properly wiped down and just as we sipped our coffee's, she came to collect the order; one Senior breakfast and mine, the egg & bacon special please. After several minutes, we ascertained that we might want to prepare for the meal my hunting and scurrying after salt and pepper shakers and cream for the coffee's. The food was introduced, a little disappointing French Toast hit the table hard and the bacon seemed to be extra, extra crispy! Oh well, we'll give it the old college try right after I was able to find another set of silverware and napkins. This was all rather painstaking and thus our meal wasn't at all what we thought we were going to get. Another bust.More
