I love bbq so I'm not sure why it took me this long to come here. I ordered the brisket, ribs, Mac n cheese and yams. This brisket is soooooo good. The ribs weren't bad either but the sauce was delicious. I definitely would order the brisket again and again and again. I do want to try the tri tip... More

The raving reviews for this place is false or maybe people do not really know about food?? This is boiled chicken with BBQ sauce only. Kind of expensive for a half chicken no sides is $12.80 and a skinny chicken, lots of bones and skin. We eat neither. Dog was happy. When we drove by we saw their big BBQ... More

Stopped and Doc's and had his pulled pork, ribs, chicken and tri-tip...it was all good, but the chicken and pulled pork stood out. The chicken was moist, tender, and tasty. Black eyed peas, greens, and yams made great side dishes, and my wife and I would order the yams over and over and over.

Its refreshing to find a roadside BBQ spot like doc q's. the staff is really friendly and the food is excellent. a huge portion for about $14. the prices. Q's BBQ restaurant or rollback prices. everytime I'm in the Modesto area I make sure to make a stop at doc q's. and he makes his own links which I really... More

Oh, yes, a tri-tip sandwich with sauce, and no knife needed. This place is 2 blocks of highway 99 in Modesto. It is nothing fancy, and that is ok with me. I just wanted a tasty BBQ sandwich, cole sla, and a Coke. That is what I got !

I remember Doc's from the time he was out on the 132 highway sharing a place with an old gas station. Now only minutes from downtown just a few blocks west of 99, Doc' is still the best kept secret BBQ place in Modesto. If you are a BBQ aficionado you owe it to yourself to check them out. Sweet... I had a voucher from Living Social and ordered the slab. The lady in the counter charged me an additional 2.80 even if I have a $30 voucher. I believe the slab is only $28.00. The location is unsafe and the restaurant is quite old. Outdated is okay as long as it is clean but this place is not. This... More

We have traveled the country & found some good BBQ but this is simply the best! We got ribs, briquette & tri tip. All 3 were tender, juicy & delicious. We had the medium sauce with hot on the side. We like some heat & the medium was great. The hot was very good but too warm for us. The... More

Excellent ribs, tri-tip, and fish with plentiful sides. Medium sauce had a smoky pepperiness that was perfect. Greens much better than average. Five orders were enough for 6 big eaters, and the bill was very reasonable. Perfect Yosemite-bound lunch.

The best BBQ place in the valley. I usually get my orders to go. Amazing sauce and every side is great. I could eat here every week - YUM!
