Don Gustavo's is a little family restaurant hidden in the Pavilions Shopping Center next to the hardware store. The greetings are friendly, the chips are fresh, and salsa is outstanding. Mid range on the heat, but with a great margarita or beer, it is very tasty. My wife and I always need a second helping of salsa as it is... More

We decided to go out to eat on a Tuesday evening. We immediate thought was Mexican, but its Taco Tuesday! For what ever reason, Mission Viejo people think that cheap Tacos are the only reason to go out. We remembered Don Gustavo's from passing it when shopping. What a pleasant surprise. First it wasn't crowded. The Guacamole was tasty. We... More

Small place, hidden in Mission Viejo. The food is quite authentic. The owner actually waits on customers and is quite pleasant. the food comes out fast and hot. It is a bit pricey, but everything seems wholesome. They are now charging people for an extra basket of chips and salsa because of the recent "spike in food costs." If you... More

Local restaurant is a gem! Servers are quick, friendly and polite. The food is excellent and generously portioned. Priced medium.

Hidden little treasure:) This restaurant has delicious food and the owners and servers are always so fast and attentive with service. I don't understand the negative comments at all... Try and see for yourself, great place, so glad we found it.

There is a nice selection of food, but the service was VERY slow, even though they were NOT busy. The food was ok- nothing to rave about especially because it is not fast food pricing- more restaurant pricing level. Not on my list to go back to.

The food was mediocre at best, very slow service, and they are not to friendly, Worst of all they are way overpriced for what you get. I would not go back. You can get better at just about any other Mexican restaurant in the area.

I LOVE Don Gustavo's and have enjoyed several of their menu items over the years. It is my husband's and my favorite Mexican restaurant. We especially love their shredded chicken crispy tacos and enchiladas. They also have great fajitas, tostadas, quesadillas, and burritos. Taco Tuesday is fun with their small "street tacos." We had our engagement party here back in... More

Stopped in here after visiting Soka University after not finding many dining options other than chain restaurants. Thought the food was good, very large portions, service was good and the prices were reasonable for the area.
