I have gone many times for dinner. Every thing on the menu is great. My favorite is the stew. You can't go wrong having all three meals at any time.

Good old fashioned family restaurant. Lots of items on the menu. Lots of items are those your mother or grandmother may have prepared. I loved their meat loaf. The food is fresh and tasty. The presentation is like a home cooked meal. Lots of deserts, great pies. Always busy, always a flow of diners coming and going. Interesting business history... More

The Black Bear Diner is a quaint restaurant that has good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have ample parking and are situated in the heart of Milpitas!

Stopped by the Diner recently. Great service and pretty good food. Very hospitable and willing to work to correct problems. I would definitely go back again and I would recommend the Diner to others.

The food here was great, and the meal was very tasty. Do be wary though, the options are HUGE. If you're not crazy hungry, I would maybe try splitting a meal!

We saw this restaurant as we traveled to another one. We decided to go back the next day and were extremely happy we did. The food was excellent. The amounts were large and the food was hot and very tasty. Our server, Dee Dee, was phenomenal. She made the meal even better. We will go back again whenever we make... More

We stopped here whilst visiting family who live in San Jose and Freemont....it had a great mix of food that satisfied all different tastes/dietary restrictions, light meals, heavy meals and even burgers for breakfast.

For a casual dinner out, we returned to Black Bear Diner. Service was good. I had a tuna melt with cole slaw; my husband ordered his favorite fish tacos served with side of beans and cole slaw. We had ice tea. For dessert, we each had a scoop of their superb blackberry ice cream. I like all their cute "bears"... More

This restaurant has great food and talk about a plate of food. You get giant portions 2 people could share and be happy or one very hungry person. I don't recall every going to any Black Bear Dinner and not enjoy everything about it. It's a must eat at place.
