We stopped here whilst visiting family who live in San Jose and Freemont....it had a great mix of food that satisfied all different tastes/dietary restrictions, light meals, heavy meals and even burgers for breakfast.

For a casual dinner out, we returned to Black Bear Diner. Service was good. I had a tuna melt with cole slaw; my husband ordered his favorite fish tacos served with side of beans and cole slaw. We had ice tea. For dessert, we each had a scoop of their superb blackberry ice cream. I like all their cute "bears"... More

This restaurant has great food and talk about a plate of food. You get giant portions 2 people could share and be happy or one very hungry person. I don't recall every going to any Black Bear Dinner and not enjoy everything about it. It's a must eat at place.

I love this restaurant! The staff is very friendly. The family atmosphere this restaurant provides, makes for a great place to bring the family. Great Food, and the portion size is large. They have a Brownie Dessert that is just out of this world!! Warm dark brownie, topped with ice cream, and chocolate syrup. You gotta try it, it's wonderful!

We stopped at this new restaurant (new to us) for breakfast. The restaurant has an outdoor theme which is pretty neat. It was very neat and clean. The staff were very nice and attentive. The food was great and big portions. I will eat there again.

Meat was Well done and TOUGH. Used red onion but normally I see white which taste better. 3- Friends Onion rings, greasy and... More

Black Bear Diner is a chain of restaurants that serve wholesome, filling, "American" food. Portions are huge, so don't over-order. All sorts of pies (berry puts are great).

A family of 6 ate for about$100 & that included a yummy banana cream pie for dessert. We all were satisfied & well taken care of, the kids loved the Bear theme & the jukebox was a hit!

This establishment is always excellent. Great food at great prices, breakfasts large enough to feed a bear, service that treats you like family. I have nothing but good to say about these folks. Lots of parking. Easy access on TV Hwy. Near Tektronix and Nike.
