The food is average.

The food is average. The place is okay. It have a nice bar. The cocktails were the best part of it. The bartender was courteous. We ate there because it was convinient.

Just Okay

The menu on the website is different from the actual menu. The waitress informed us that the menu had changed a few weeks prior. That's unfortunate because nothing on the new menu interested me. Also, our waitress was totally incompetent. I don't know if she lacked English skills or was never trained but she could not comprehend what we asked her. The bill came. It was totally wrong. The bartender corrected it for us. We were here for happy hour. My husband had the chicken wings, I just had a caesar salad. Very average. Don't think we'll be back.

Good restaurant

Was here for a week on business. Ate here a few times,and the food is always good. The service here is above average, with prices that are very reasonable. The burgers here are outstanding, and well as the rest of the menu.

NOT worth the price!

My family and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza over this past Labor Day weekend. We arrived on Saturday later afternoon and were hungry. We saw the menu for Sevens Bar & Grill and thought a lot of the dishes sounded really good. I ordered the Shrimp pasta. It was terrible. The sauce was extremely watery/thin and there was so much of it, it soaked into the to go container and the pasta was swimming in it. The mushrooms were not cooked and had a firm bite. It had no flavor and was VERY bland. I had to actually use the little salt packet to give it a little flavor. For $23, it was definitely not worth it. My husband ordered the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The plate was over $40, and was nowhere near worth it. Everything was bland, and his meat wasn't cooked as requested... it was really chewy/fatty and you could taste the grill or pan it was cooked on. The potatoes had no hint of garlic and had a gritty texture. Again, very bland. The only decent thing we had was the mac n cheese we ordered for my 3 year old. A $90 meal, and a HUGE disappointment... will most likely never eat there again or recommend to anyone.

Fun bar in the Crowne Plaza Hotel

My colleagues and I stayed next door at a different hotel, but walked over to eat here. The food was great and generously portioned. Two of my colleagues had the poke nachos and said they were delicious. I had the Cobb salad, which was great. The drinks were decently priced. The bar was semi-crowded and had a nice big screen and plenty of smaller TVs, showing the hockey game. It was a lively place and nice to have close to our hotel.

Overpriced and poor service

Food is reasonably ok, but is overpriced. The waiter brought a different soup than the one I requested, but corrected it, when I told her. Then for about 45 minutes, she did not bring my entree, while everyone else was finishing theirs. Finally, when everyone was almost done, I asked her what is happening with my entree. She said she thought I did not order one and was contented having a soup! It was real embarrassment for me and everyone else, who had to wait till I finished my entree, particularly to the organizer of the lunch who I met face to face for the first time. What a treatment for the exorbitant prices they charge!

Good restaurant in the hotel premises

This restaurant is located on the property of Hotel Crowne Plaza, San Jose, California. It usually serves breakfast but also dinners and lunches. Since we were staying at the hotel Crowne Plaza and the breakfast was included in the cost, we enjoyed this luxury of having BF in the hotel itself. Though the spread is not that great, which one would expect from a star hotel, nevertheless, the staff was very cooperative and pleasant.

Great staff, okay food.

The staff here is wonderful, very attentive. The food is okay. I had dinner here two nights and the best thing I ate was the flatbread. It was very good. The other things I tried were not great, just average. It's a nice atmosphere and convenient, especially if you are staying at the hotel.

Very Good Custom Omelets at the Breakfast Buffet

We had drinks there in the evening and found the staff to be very friendly. We ate there in the morning (breakfast buffet) and thought the omelet (custom made) was very good. Also, there was plenty of fresh fruit.

Not good at all

This bar had really poor food. We all exchanged notes on our meals and the next day we all were 100% sure we were not eating there. I had a terrible Cobb Salad for nearly $20 bucks and the group meal food was seriously bad. Please get a chef and improve the food here.

Over-priced hotel resturannt

Sevens Bar and Grill

Sevens is conviently located with easy access to silicon valley and Levi's stadium. Sevens has a great selection of menu items and the food is always great. If you're looking for a place to meet friends for drinks, have a good meal or cater an event, Sevens is a great place. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and served.
