The restaurant is funky and definitely low budget, but the fish (available in the restaurant or the adjacent fish store) is the best in Menlo Park and probably the best on the Peninsula.

Discovered this place when looking for fresh fish to purchase. Stopped by one afternoon while out and about and wandered into the restaurant portion. Basically it's a self serve fresh seafood, specializing in fish and chips and other seafood salads. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the halibut grilled on a sandwich. Fish was super fresh... More

The food is really good! I use to work really close to Cooks so I had lunch there almost every shift. Highly recommend!

After being told by several people that I had to try Cook's, I finally made it for lunch. Had the fried cod (good--right amount of batter but fish was dry--like it was a little old). Fries were ok and cole slaw was kind of bland. The fried shrimp had a little too much batter, imo. Price point ok, but I... More

I have been going to Cooks for many years, but it has been a while since my last visit. I enjoyed it as it was the first time. The fish and chips are great portions, the Copping you can buy different sizes, they got sit down or take out and parking is easy - Highly recommend it. Also prices are... More

For a fast food place, the service is tops. It follows a casual dining concept in which order first, place the given number plaque at your table, the server brings the food to your table. Usually, these formats don't traditionally provide good service. At cook's seafood, you get good service. At the ordering counter, the server recommends plates that are... More

This place has been at the corner of El Camino and Roble in Menlo Park for many many years - and the quality is still there! We always get their chowder, but they also have great fish and chips as well. You can dine in or take out. There is always a pretty good crowd at lunchtime. The New England... More

The fish mongers at Cook's are so helpful and knowledgeable. They will recommend you come back instead of buying your fish early.

Just the best non greasy fish and chips around wether you have cod of halibut. We always add the side of crunchy steamed vegetables. If you do not want chips they have a grilled fish platter served with rice or shrimp and crab salads. Very reasonable priced and we have always found the staff very pleasant. They have a treat...
