A California institution. Have been coming here for years. I absolutely love the Alaskan halibut, always fresh and expertly prepared. Another favorite is Icelandic cod. Wide cut French fries and/or coleslaw are the sides. Moderately priced offerings. I usually get wine. On an Alaskan cruise, we had Alaskan halibut for only one night--so it is a bargain at Cook's!

Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and did not regret. Very tasty shrimps, prawns and cod - both in salad and with chips.

Good quality fish, great turnover so the fish is constantly fresh fron their market. Great wild salmon, gallibut and oysters too. Highly recommend it to people who are also local and want to avoid SF fisherman's wharf. The setting is clean but not fine dining. Recommend for families too.

My husband & go to Cooks a couple of times a month. I love the filet of sole sandwich for lunch. When we have dinner there we order the three piece halibut. They give you nice meaty pieces of fish with little breading . Lots of frys. We can easily split that for dinner. Wish they had a nice green... More

Cook's has a restaurant attached to its fish market. They serve delicious fried fish/ seafood salads / fries. I love their haddock fish & chips. It's great for a quick light dinner. They also provide take-out service.

Love this place. Very fresh seafood, reasonable prices, quick service and friendly staff. Great low key vibe. Lots of choices with both fried items, grilled fish, salads, soups, sandwiches and a terrific fish market next door. The employees are fast, efficient and friendly. I enjoy the take-out and the food is always still hot when I get home but I... More

The restaurant is funky and definitely low budget, but the fish (available in the restaurant or the adjacent fish store) is the best in Menlo Park and probably the best on the Peninsula.

Discovered this place when looking for fresh fish to purchase. Stopped by one afternoon while out and about and wandered into the restaurant portion. Basically it's a self serve fresh seafood, specializing in fish and chips and other seafood salads. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the halibut grilled on a sandwich. Fish was super fresh... More

The food is really good! I use to work really close to Cooks so I had lunch there almost every shift. Highly recommend!
