the menu is true French...from mussels and snails to the most incredible filet of sole I have ever had. the wine list is small but adequate. the owner is there with a smile to meet and greet. usually quiet enough that you can have a good conversation. just took some musicians there and they loved it!!

Salad, wine and desert... plus tip = $50. Took 10 minutes to find me with some day old bread, and that was with only a few people eating. Was outside... maybe they got lost?

I've been going to Bistro Vida for years. Food is great, always consistent. Burger, salmon are my favorites. Breakfast is a real treat. Big table in the back if you have a nice large party.

I was with a large group of people so we shared appetizers and wine, then dinner. The appetizers were very good as was the wine. Service was good. My ceaser salad was okay. I had gotten the lamb and in all honesty it was okay but did not taste fresh. The carrots and peas that came with it were excellent.... More

My wife and I first stopped at Left Bank, as it was recommended by our concierge. We were seated and about 10 minutes passed without anyone coming to greet us or take a drink order. So we left and found Bistro Vida just down the street. I'm so happy we stumbled across this place because we were not disappointed! We... More

If you are looking for authentic French Gastropub, Vida hits a home run. Not as popular as the Left Bank next door but you won't be disappointed. Great French specials are worth ordering along with the regular fare.

We ate there last night with a party of 8 after a graduation ceremony. The service was literally the worst I have ever seen at any restaurant for many, many years. Our server was slow, openly defiant, hurling dishes at us, ignoring most requests and being generally as unpleasant as possible. She was openly hostile to most requests. This situation,... More

My wife and I have been regulars for years. A little over a year ago Ali, the owner, brought in a chef who he met in Paris. She was a sous chef at a Michelin starred restaurant there. Not sure if she is still there or not but she definitely up-skilled the kitchen and Ali up-skilled the wait staff. If... More

I've been here several times over the past years and our most recent experience was not good. I had my usual half roast chicken. It was a quarter chicken, not a half. I asked for the sauce on the side, and instead of the usual brown sauce, it was oil/fat with some onions in it. The breast was dry so... More
