We had a wonderful lunch at their outdoor cafe. We had our Siberian husky with us. It was sunny and warm. I had the burger with gargunzola cheese and bacon to die for. My husband had the fish tacos and said he enjoyed those. We have eaten here before and will be back again one of our favorite restaurants.

Best Salad Bar in town, good soups, and frozen yogurt. The curry chicken sandwich is my favorite but the tuna is also awesome. Art and Laura have been running this place for years, and changed very little over time. Another popular spot for locals, but rarely crowded due to its location off the main path. Good food at a good... More

I had kept hearing about A Cultured Affair while I was visiting Mendocino for three days and was told repeatedly by locals that this place makes sandwiches to order. I'm vegan and found this to be a most welcome invitation and exciting reason to go there for lunch. What a huge disappointment! They don't make sandwiches to order at all.... More

Very nice place for a mid day meal. Mom-Pop shop, friendly and welcoming. Big sandwich for the money. Nothing fancy, but very tasty. We had it "to go" so we could go to Headlands State Park and picnic while searching for whales.

We travel with a little dog. It isn't always easy finding a place that can accommodate us. This very small restaurant/cafe has a small courtyard patio (four tables if I remember correctly) that is perfect for grabbing a quick bite. We were happy just to find a place provided some shelter from the wind off the ocean. But it turned... More

This is an ok place for a quick casual lunch. Soups, salad bar and a few specials now and again. Hubby recently had crab lasagne. Now that was good, but different. My big objection here is:too many throw aways. Paper cups for coffee, paper bowls for soup, paper plates for everything else. Paper sleeves for the bread even! Oh and... More

Good food--very good sandwich and salad, nothing fancy, nice patio and off the typical beaten path of town.

A nice little "Mom & Pop" dining place that is convenient and provides home made food. This is literally run by a couple...she does the cooking & he serves. It's not "high end" dining but a good place for a quick simple lunch (soup & sandwich).

Four of us had lunch at the Cultured Affair today. It's a 'mom and pop' place with Mom putting together the sandwiches and Pop taking the orders and running the cash register. I had a very generous and tasty turkey sandwich on sourdough bread and the others had the soup and salad. The soup was minestrone which I tasted and... More

Having lived in Mendocino for many years, the Cultured Affair was always one of my favorites. Simple, hot soup and great salad bar.......love the curried yogurt dressing! Since moving away, I still go there whenever in town and it really hasn't changed over the years.
