We drove around the bay to the main supply area that sells bulk oysters. If you like they do sells shucking gloves and knives and have ice for transport. Everyone was very friendly and they directed us up the road to the restaurant. we sat outside at the high tables with a beautiful view facing west. The service was quick... More

I remember going here several times when their picnic tables and grill were still up and running. However, they have been forced to remove their tables and grill and now you'll have to order and take your oysters elsewhere. Nonetheless, this place was great! Too bad they no longer have the other items that made it worthwhile in visiting.

This place was a great place to spend an an afternoon shucking, eating, drinking. However, from the website it looks like the tables and grills are no more. Haven't been myself to confirm but be warned!

Buy a bag of fresh oysters, lemon, sauce and shucking knives; BYOB for a great day outdoors. The picnic area is closed now but there are a few benches around and picnic areas nearby. There's plenty of interesting places nearby that you can drive on. We stopped at TOmales Bay Oyster Co. for an early lunch while on our way to... More

This was a DESTINATION for oyster lovers. Having the only license to sell shucked oysters made it soooo easy to enjoy jars full of the delicacy. Through faulty and poorly sited science the Secretary of the Interior chose to close this wonderful business, a true loss for the family, the workers, the community, the tourists and oyster lovers around the... Went here three days ago. If you like oysters you will love this place. This is as fresh as it gets short of harvesting your own and eating them that moment. This is not a restaurant. It is a oyster farm. Very rustic, right on the water and at the oyster farm. Bring sandwich stuff, whatever you like on your... More

Stopped on our way home from Mendocino. Very popular spot for the tourists but well run and efficient. Of course the oysters on the half shell were great but also try the clam chowder.

In the past this would have been a 5. Don't go here on a weekend unless you want to park in a ditch along narrow highway 1, pay $20 for a dozen so called medium oysters, deal with a circus environment, wait a couple of hours to find a place to sit, pay $5 per person to sit, and then... More
