For us, as UK travellers, this felt like the archetypal American diner. Friendly staff, extensive menu, quick service. We even learned what grits are! Loved the eggs and the pancakes. Gets busy early on (from 730), so get there early if you're wanting an early start into Yosemite.

Everything was delicious-- had hamburger platter on the way to Yosemite and had a BLT on the way home. Servers were friendly. Cute cozy quaint place.

One of my housemates kept raving about the pie from here so we stopped in on our weekly grocery run in Mariposa. I ordered the cherry pie, which is normally my favorite, topped with ice cream. The pie was ridiculously sweet, I mean all I tasted was sugar. If that's how you like you pie, then you'll enjoy this place.... More

Just stumbled on this little gem from a recommendation at the gas station! Great food and wonderful, friendly service! From what we were told, breakfast is even better and standing room only!!

Nothing more to add. All good. Great breakfasts. Attentive staff. Nice clientele. Clean. Classic 59s diner style. Nothing was too much trouble.

We popped in here for breakfast (our hotel didn't provide one) and it was great! Nothing fancy but a good, hearty breakfast with generous size and options that include the fried and healthier sides of the scale.

Went looking for dinner in Mariposa on a Saturday night after a full day's hiking in Yosemite; everywhere else was closed or had 45 minute waits, but then we found the Sugar Pine cafe and they kindly let us in just on closing time at 8.30pm. Very friendly atmosphere. Burgers and chips were great and just what we needed; milkshakes... More

Great place for breakfast, where old time diner vibe doesn't disappoint. Staff was friendly but we're a tad slow in clearing tables... Seemed overwhelmed. Fab coffee. Can't go wrong w any of the egg or pancake options.

They make their own biscuits and gravy and it was delicious! Their strawberry jam was quite good as well. Eggs needed a bit of salt though.
